Lesson notes

A customer has explained what went wrong, and their review is waiting for a reply. You want to acknowledge the problem and explain how you can help, but writing a thoughtful response to every review takes time.

Show customers that you have read their feedback

Your reply tells the customer that you have paid attention to their experience. Future shoppers can read it too, so it also shows them how you respond when someone has a problem.

The details matter. A customer reporting a late delivery needs a different response from someone who received the wrong size. Referring to what happened and explaining any action you have taken makes the reply more useful than a general apology.

You also want each response to sound like your business. When several reviews need replies, finding the right words for each customer can slow you down. You still need time to understand the complaint and decide what you can do about it.

Let AI write a first draft for you to check

This lesson shows you how to use Judge.me's AI reply drafts. From your Reviews dashboard, you can generate a draft based on the customer's name, star rating, review text, and the product they bought. The draft is written in the language of the review.

You'll see how to choose a Direct, Elegant, or Friendly tone. You can also add instructions with details the AI needs to include. For example, if you have already sent a replacement, you can ask the AI to mention that in the reply.

Before sending, read the draft and check that it describes the customer's experience accurately. Change wording that sounds unlike your business, correct any mistakes, and remove promises you cannot keep. You decide when the reply is ready to send.

Start with the negative reviews still waiting for a response, then continue to Lesson 4 to learn how customer feedback can help you choose products and messages for your campaigns.
