Judge.me uses AI to automatically classify each review with a sentiment and one or more topics. This helps you quickly understand how customers feel and what they're talking about — and lets you filter or moderate reviews based on that classification.

How it works

When a new review is submitted, or an existing review is edited or updated, Judge.me's AI automatically generates a sentiment and assigns topics based on the review's written content (title and body).

Both show in your Reviews dashboard next to each review's rating.

  • Sentiment values: Each review is assigned one of:

    • Positive – shown as a green thumbs-up icon on the right of the rating

    • Neutral – shown as a grey dual-thumbs icon next to the rating

    • Negative – shown as a red thumbs-down icon next to the rating

    • No sentiment – the review didn't contain enough written content to classify (for example, rating-only reviews)

  • Topic values:

    • A review can be assigned up to 5 topics from this list:

      • Product experience – the review mentions the product itself

      • Store experience – the review mentions the shopping experience

      • Packaging and delivery – the review mentions packaging, shipping, or delivery

      • Price and value – the review mentions pricing or value for money

      • Returns and refunds – the review mentions returns, refunds, or exchanges

    • If the review doesn't contain enough written content, no topics are assigned.

    • Topics always show as an "N topic(s)" badge next to the rating — click the badge to see the exact topics assigned.

You can then:

Considerations

  • Sentiment and topics are AI-generated and may not always be accurate.

  • The sentiment and topic indicators shown in the Reviews dashboard cannot be edited or disabled.
