Want to showcase your store’s Google reviews on Judge.me automatically? By connecting your Google Business Profile, you can regularly sync reviews from your Google listing into your Judge.me app—no manual work required.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to connect your Google account, start syncing reviews, manage them within Judge.me, and handle any issues along the way.


Considerations

Please consider these limitations carefully before enabling the integration:

Review type

Google Business Profile reviews will be synced as Store reviews as they reflect overall customer feedback about your business (e.g. shopping experience, customer service, and shipping).

Verification

As Google does not verify reviews submitted in Google Business Profile, reviews synced from here won't be verified in Judge.me.

Unverified reviews, unfortunately, will lower the Authenticity score for your Judge.me medals.

Limited control

Reviews synced from Google cannot be edited, deleted, or replied to within Judge.me.

Data and formatting

Due to Google’s limitations:

  • Review images will not be synced.

  • For reviews synced before June 05, 2025:

    • Reviewer names will appear as “Google reviewer”.

    • If Google automatically translates a review, both the translated and original text will be included in the synced reviews.

Regional restrictions

The sync feature may not work in restricted countries (e.g., China).

How to sync reviews from Google Business Profile

Step 1: Connect your Google Business Profile

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Google and SEO.

  2. Scroll to the Google Business Profile section and click Manage.

  3. Click Connect to Google Business.

  4. Check the box to accept Google’s policy and click Next.

  5. Log in to the Google account that manages your Google Business Profile.

  6. Click Allow to complete the connection (we only need the permission to see your Google Business listings).

Step 2: Start your first sync

  1. Once connected, click Initiate in the Reviews sync section.

  2. Choose the Google Business Profile location(s) to import reviews. If you have multiple locations, you can select more than one.

  3. Your reviews will now sync automatically every 7 days. The last review sync date and next review sync date will appear in the Review sync section.

Step 3: Manage your Google Business Profile reviews

Once you've enabled Google Business Profile review syndication, your reviews typically sync within a few minutes. You can check your latest reviews in the Reviews dashboard. In some cases, syncing may take up to 30 minutes.

As Google Business Profile reviews are syndicated as store reviews, you can show them in your storefront as with other store reviews.


Troubleshoot

If Judge.me cannot connect to Google, you will:

  • See an error message in your Judge.me's Google Business Profile settings.

  • Receive an email notification.

To fix this:

  1. Go back to your Google Business Profile settings.

  2. Click Connect to Google Business again to reconnect.


Disconnect and reconnect your Google account

If you no longer want to sync reviews, click Disconnect from Google Business in the Connection section.

  • If you disconnect your account, existing reviews will remain visible in Judge.me.

  • When you reconnect, Judge.me will import any new reviews from the last connection date.

  • When you reconnect Judge.me, we'll automatically import any new reviews since your last sync and update existing ones if reviewers have made changes on Google.

  • If you connect a different Google account, Judge.me will sync reviews from the new store. Previous reviews will remain unchanged.
