The Pop-up Reviews Widget lets you display your top reviews as a small pop-up on the corner of your store pages. The pop-ups catch your store visitors’ attention, build trust with social proof, and encourage them to purchase the products.

Once installed:
The Pop-Up Reviews Widget automatically shows up to 15 of your most recent published 5-star reviews as a small pop up on a corner of your store.
You can also select which 15 reviews to show in the pop-up.
Set up your Pop-up Reviews Widget
To start using the Pop-up Reviews Widget, follow these steps:
Step 1: Add the Pop-up Reviews Widget
To install the Pop-up Reviews Widget:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want and click Edit theme.
In the left menu, click the App embeds icon (the third icon).
Enable Judge.me and Pop-up Widget app embed.
Click Save on the top right.
To remove the Pop-up Reviews Widget:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want and click Edit theme.
In the left menu, click the App embeds icon (the third icon).
Disable the Pop-up Widget app embed.
Click Save on the top right.
Step 2: Choose the reviews to show in the pop-up
To choose which reviews appear in the pop-up:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Pop-up Reviews.
Open the Review selection section.
Select one of the following options:
"Recent 5-star reviews" – automatically shows the 15 most recent published 5-star reviews.
"Recent reviews with pictures" – automatically shows the 15 most recent published 5-star reviews that include photos. If there are fewer than 15 reviews with pictures, the rest will be filled with recent 5-star reviews.
"Choose reviews manually" – shows up to 15 featured reviews. Learn how to feature a review.
Click Save.
Customize the Pop-up Reviews Widget with built-in settings
Adjust your Pop-up Reviews settings and watch changes appear instantly in the preview.
1. Border style
To change the border style of the pop-up:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Pop-up Reviews.
Scroll down to and open the Theme section.
For Border style, select either "Square corners" or "Round corners".
Click Save.
2. Review details
To control how much details you want to show for each featured review in the pop-up:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Pop-up Reviews.
Scroll down to and open the Design section.
For Review details, click the checkboxes next to some or all of the following options:
"Show review title"
"Show review body"
"Show reviewer name"
"Show product name"
Click Save.
3. Pictures
To set how images will appear in the Pop-up Reviews Widget:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Pop-up Reviews.
Scroll down to and open the Design section.
For Pictures, select from these options:
"Disabled" – not show any photos in the pop-up
"Show product pictures" – show picture of the product
"Show review pictures if available" – show picture from the reviews if any
Click Save.
4. Where the pop-up will appear
To select which pages you want the Pop-up Reviews Widget to show:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Pop-up Reviews.
Scroll down to and open the Display properties section.
For Pages to display, click the checkboxes next to some or all of the following options:
"Home page"
"Product pages"
"Collection pages"
"Cart page"
Click Save.
To customize where on the page the pop-up will show:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Pop-up Reviews.
Scroll down to the Display properties section.
Open the Widget position on desktop dropdown.
Select one of the following options:
"Bottom left"
"Bottom right"
"Top left"
"Top right"
Click Save.
To enable or disable the pop-up on smaller devices:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Pop-up Reviews.
Scroll down to and open the Display properties section.
At the bottom of the section, enable or disable "Hide widget on mobile and tablet devices".
Click Save.
5. How the pop-up will appear
To customize the pop-up behaviors:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Pop-up Reviews.
Scroll down to and open the Display properties section.
In the Delay before first pop-up field, enter the number of seconds to wait before the first pop-up appears.
In the Pop-up duration field, enter how long each pop-up stays visible.
In the Interval between pop-ups field, enter the time between each subsequent pop-up.
Click Save.
To set the number of pop-ups per page:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Pop-up Reviews.
Scroll down to the Display properties section.
In the Number of pop-ups per page field, enter your desired number of reviews (maximum: 15).
Click Save.
