The Videos Carousel helps you turn video reviews into conversion drivers. It displays your customers’ video testimonials in a scrollable, eye-catching widget, helping shoppers see real product experiences in action. Use it to add trust-building visuals to your homepage, product pages, or anywhere you want to boost engagement and sales.
How the Videos Carousel looks
The Videos Carousel is available in two layouts:

When customers click a videos carousel card, a pop-up opens showing the full review, with an option to view the product.
How to enable the Videos Carousel
Step 1: Enable the Judge.me app embed
For the Videos Carousel to work, the app embed needs to be enabled.
To enable Judge.me app embed:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want to edit and click Customize.
Click the App embeds icon (third one on the left panel).
Enable Judge.me app embed.
Click Save.
Step 2: Add the Videos Carousel block
Option 1: Add the Videos Carousel block in the Shopify theme editor (recommended)
Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
Select the template where you want the carousel to appear.
In the left panel under Template, click + Add section.
Go to the Apps tab and select Videos Carousel.
Drag the block using the six-dot icon (⋮⋮) to your desired location.
Click Save.
Option 2: Add the Videos Carousel block from your Judge.me admin
To automatically install the Videos Carousel from Judge.me:
In your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets.
Find the Videos Carousel card and click Install / Customize.
You’ll be redirected to the Shopify theme editor, where the widget block is added to the left panel in the Template.
Hover over the block, hold the 6-dot icon (⋮⋮) icon, and drag it to your desired position.
Click Save in the Shopify theme editor.
Customizing your Videos Carousel
To customize your Videos Carousel:
Go to Shopify theme editor:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want to edit and click Customize.
At the top of the theme editor, use the dropdown to select the page where you added the Videos Carousel (e.g., Homepage).
On the left panel, inside Template, locate the Videos Carousel block.
Click on the block to view and adjust the available settings.
You can customize using the following settings:
1. Sample reviews
If you haven’t collected any reviews yet, or your current filters return no matching reviews, you can still enable sample reviews to see how the Videos Carousel looks in the preview of your Shopify Theme Editor.
To do so:
Enable Show sample reviews (Preview only) under Reviews Selection.
Click Save.
2. Type of reviews
To choose which reviews you want to appear in the Videos Carousel:
In the Reviews selection field inside the REVIEWS SELECTION section, choose from the following options and click Save:
Option | Description |
All | Shows all reviews |
Product reviews | Shows only product-level reviews |
Store reviews | Shows only store-level reviews |
Current product | Shows reviews from the product being viewed. (Only available when the Videos Carousel is on a product page) |
Current collection | Shows reviews from all products in the collection. (Only available when the Videos Carousel is on a collection page) |
Featured reviews | Shows only reviews you've featured in the Reviews dashboard using the heart icon.
These featured reviews also appear in the Reviews Carousel and Pop-up Reviews widget if they are set to show only featured reviews. |
Custom products | Manually select up to 10 specific products to display their reviews. Use the Select products option below to define the products you want to show reviews.  |
3. Star rating
To choose the ratings you want to show in the Videos Carousel:
Filter | What it shows |
All | All star ratings |
5-star only | Only 5-star reviews |
4 to 5-star only | Only 4-star and 5-star reviews |
3 to 5-star only | Only 3, 4, and 5-star reviews |
4. Review type
Choose which media type of review to show on the Videos Carousel:
Review type | Reviews shown | Order displayed |
Videos only | Only video reviews | Only video reviews |
Photos and videos | Reviews with photos or videos | Videos first, then photos |
Any review | All reviews | Videos first, then photo reviews, and then text reviews |
Note: Each photo or video appears as its own card. For example, a review with 1 video, 3 photos, and text will show 5 cards: the video first, followed by the 3 photos, then the text card.
5. Number of reviews
To set how many reviews you want to show in the Videos Carousel:
In the Maximum review number field inside the REVIEWS SELECTION section, enter the number of reviews you want to show (1–30).
Click Save.
6. Layout
To customize the layout for your Videos Carousel, use these options:

Note: Some style options only appear if corresponding elements (reviewer name, stars, arrows) are enabled.
8. Behavior
To adjust the display behavior for your Videos Carousel, use these options:

9. Header customization
To change the default "Real customer stories" header, scroll to the Header section and edit the text field.
To hide the average rating, toggle off Average rating text.
Click Save.
