The Videos Carousel helps you turn video reviews into conversion drivers. It displays your customers’ video testimonials in a scrollable, eye-catching widget, helping shoppers see real product experiences in action. Use it to add trust-building visuals to your homepage, product pages, or anywhere you want to boost engagement and sales.

How it looks

The Videos Carousel is available in two layouts:

Layout	Description	Example
Highlight	One big center card, all other cards the same height.
Perspective	One big center card, other cards get smaller as they move further away.

When customers click a videos carousel card, a pop-up opens showing the full review, with an option to view the product.

Add the Videos Carousel

Step 1: Enable Judge.me app embed

To enable Judge.me app embed:

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want to edit and click Edit theme.
In the left menu, click the App embeds icon (the third icon).
Enable Judge.me app embed.
Click Save on the top right.

Step 2: Add the Videos Carousel block

To install the Videos Carousel in Shopify theme editor:

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want to edit and click Edit theme.
At the top of the theme editor, open the template dropdown in the middle.
Select a template where you want to show the Videos Carousel.
On the left panel, inside Template, click (+) Add section.
Open the Apps tab.
Select the Videos Carousel block.
(Optional) Hover over the block, hold the 6-dot icon (⋮⋮), and drag it up or down to change its position.
Click Save on the top right.

Customize the Videos Carousel with Shopify theme editor

To access all settings for the Videos Carousel in Shopify theme editor:

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want to edit and click Edit theme.
At the top of the theme editor, open the template dropdown in the middle.
Select the template where you added the Videos Carousel.
On the left panel, inside Template, find the Videos Carousel block you added.
Click the block to open its settings.

Once opened, you can customize the review selection, layout, styling, behavior, and header of that specific Videos Carousel block.

1. Review selection

Sample reviews (Preview only)

If you haven’t collected any reviews yet, you can still enable sample reviews to see how the Videos Carousel looks in the preview of your Shopify Theme Editor. This setting does not affect the live storefront.

To show sample reviews for the Videos Carousel in your Shopify Theme Editor:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, enable "Show sample reviews (Preview only)".
Click Save on the top right.

Reviews selection

To choose which types of reviews to show in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, open the Reviews selection dropdown.
Select one of the following options:
- "All" – shows all published reviews.
- "Product reviews" – shows only reviews linked to products.
- "Store reviews" – shows only store-level (sitewide) reviews.
- "Current product" – shows reviews for the product currently being viewed.
- "Current collection" – shows reviews for products within the collection currently being viewed.
- "Featured" – shows only reviews you marked as Featured. Learn how to feature a review.
- "Custom products" – lets you manually select which products the carousel should pull reviews from.
Click Save on the top right.

If you select "Custom products", to select the specific products you want the Videos Carousel to display reviews from:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, next to Select products (when “Reviews Selection”: Custom products), click Select.
Click the checkboxes next to the products you want to pull reviews from. You can select up to 10 products.
Click Save on the top right.

Star rating

To choose the ratings you want to show in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, open the Star rating dropdown.
Select one of the following options:
- "All" – shows reviews of all ratings
- "5-star only" – shows only 5-star reviews
- "4 to 5-star only" – shows only 4-star and 5-star reviews
- "3 to 5-star only" – shows only 3, 4, and 5-star reviews
Click Save on the top right.

Review type

To choose which media type of review to show on the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, open the Review type dropdown.
Select one of the following options:
- "Videos only" – shows only video reviews
- "Photos and videos" – shows reviews with videos first, then reviews with photos
- "Any review" – shows reviews with videos first, then reviews with photos, then text reviews
Click Save on the top right.

Notes:

Each photo or video appears as its own card. For example, a review with 1 video, 3 photos, and text will show 5 cards: the video first, followed by the 3 photos, then the text card.
When selecting “Videos only”, make sure your store has at least 3 published video reviews. If there are fewer than 3, the Videos Carousel will not display, as this layout requires a minimum of 3 videos for proper alignment.

Maximum review number

To set the maximum number of reviews you want to show in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, adjust the Maximum review number slider (or enter a number from 1-30).
Click Save on the top right.

2. Layout

Reviewer name

To show the reviewer name in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the LAYOUT section, enable "Show reviewer name".
Click Save on the top right.

Stars size

To adjust the size of the star ratings displayed on each review in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the LAYOUT section, open the Stars size dropdown.
Select one of the following options: Small, Medium, Large, or Hidden.
Click Save on the top right.

Arrows position

To choose where the navigation arrows appear in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the LAYOUT section, open the Arrows position dropdown.
Select one of the following options: Sides, Bottom, or Hidden.
Click Save on the top right.

Maximum width

To limit how wide the Videos Carousel appears on the page:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the LAYOUT section, adjust Maximum width using the slider or by entering a pixel value (600 to 1600px).
Click Save on the top right.

3. Styling

Corner styling

To choose the corner style for each review card in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the STYLING section, open the Corner styling dropdown.
Select one of the following options: Sharp, Soft, Rounded.
Click Save on the top right.

Colors

To customize the colors used in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the STYLING section, adjust any of the following color options: Header text color, Card color, Stars color, Arrows color.
Click Save on the top right.

Drop shadow

To add a drop shadow for extra depth behind each review card in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the STYLING section, enable "Show drop shadow".
Click Save on the top right.

Border

To add a border around each review card in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
In the STYLING section, enable "Show border".
Click Save on the top right.

4. Behavior

Autoplay media

To autoplay videos in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
Scroll down to the BEHAVIOR section.
Enable "Autoplay media".
Click Save on the top right.

Transition speed

To customize the moving speed between each review in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
Scroll down to the BEHAVIOR section.
Adjust the Maximum review number slider (0-60 seconds).
Click Save on the top right.

Carousel style

To change the style of the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
Scroll down to the BEHAVIOR section.
For Carousel style, select Highlight or Perspective.
Click Save on the top right.

5. Header

To adjust the "Real customer stories" header text in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
Scroll down to the HEADER section at the bottom.
In the Header text field, edit the default "Real customer stories" texts.
Click Save on the top right.

To disable the average rating under the header in the Videos Carousel:

Go to the Videos Carousel settings.
Scroll down to the HEADER section at the bottom.
Disable "Average rating text".
Click Save on the top right.
