The Reviews Grid Widget allows you to display reviews in a flexible grid layout, including photo, video, and text reviews. Unlike carousels, this widget shows all eligible reviews and is designed to create a highly visual showcase of user-generated content (UGC).
How it looks
The Reviews Grid Widget typically includes these key visual elements by default:

The review count in parentheses (based on all published reviews, including both product and store reviews)
How it works
The widget displays reviews in a grid format (rows and columns).
It can show photo, video, and text reviews.
Reviews without content (no text, title, or media) are automatically excluded.
If a review contains multiple media files, each media item may appear as a separate card.
Clicking a review card opens a Lightbox with the full review content.

Considerations
Reviews without content (no text, title, or media) are automatically excluded.
The widget displays all eligible reviews (not limited to 30, as in carousels).
This widget is not SEO-focused. It is designed for visual engagement.
Product name display is not available in this version.
On mobile devices, there is no hover interaction.
Text is truncated automatically to prevent layout issues.
Multi-language widget title translation is supported.
Add the Reviews Grid Widget
Step 1: Enable Judge.me app embed
To enable Judge.me app embed:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want to edit and click Edit theme.
From the menu on the left, click the App embeds icon (the third icon).
Enable the Judge.me app embed.
Click Save on the top right.
Step 2: Add the Reviews Grid block
To install the Reviews Grid Widget in Shopify theme editor:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want to edit and click Edit theme.
At the top of the theme editor, open the template dropdown in the middle.
Select a template where you want to show the Reviews Grid Widget.
On the left panel, inside Template, click (+) Add section.
Go to the Apps tab.
Select the Reviews Grid block.
(Optional) Hover over the block, hold the 6-dot icon (⋮⋮), and drag it up or down to change its position.
Click Save on the top right.
Customize the Reviews Grid Widget with built-in settings in Shopify theme editor
Unlike other Judge.me widgets, you won’t see a Customize button for the Reviews Grid Widget in your Judge.me admin. Instead, all layout and styling settings for the Reviews Grid Widget are managed directly in your Shopify theme editor.
To access all settings for the Reviews Grid Widget in Shopify theme editor:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you want to edit and click Edit theme.
At the top of the theme editor, open the template dropdown in the middle.
Select the template where you added the Reviews Grid Widget.
On the left panel, inside Template, find the Reviews Grid block you added.
Click the block to open its settings.
Once opened, you can customize the review selection, layout, styling, behavior, and header of that specific Reviews Grid Widget block.

Sample reviews (Preview only)
If you haven’t collected any reviews yet, you can still enable sample reviews to see how the Reviews Grid Widget looks in the preview of your Shopify Theme Editor. This setting does not affect the live storefront.
To show sample reviews for the Reviews Grid Widget in your Shopify Theme Editor:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, enable Show sample reviews (Preview only).
Click Save on the top right.
Review type
To choose which types of reviews to show in the Reviews Grid Widget:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, open the Reviews selection dropdown.
Select one of the following options:
All – shows any type of reviews
Product reviews – shows only reviews linked to products
Store reviews – shows only store-level (sitewide) reviews
Current product (only works on product templates) – shows reviews for the product currently being viewed
Current collection (only works on collection pages) – shows reviews for products within the collection currently being viewed
Featured – shows only reviews you marked as Featured. Learn how to feature a review
Custom products – lets you manually select which products the Reviews Grid Widget should pull reviews from
Click Save on the top right.
If you select Custom products for Review selection, to select the specific products you want the Reviews Grid Widget to display reviews from:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, next to Select products (when “Reviews Selection”: Custom products), click Select.
Click the checkboxes next to the products you want to pull reviews from. You can select up to 10 products.
Click Save on the top right.
Reviews with media
To show only reviews that include photos or videos in the Reviews Grid Widget:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, enable Show reviews with media only.
Click Save on the top right.
Display order
To control which reviews will show first in the Reviews Grid Widget:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
In the REVIEWS SELECTION section at the top, open the Display order dropdown.
Select one of the following options:
Media first – shows reviews that include photos or videos first
Most recent – shows latest reviews first
Click Save on the top right.
2. Layout
Available on the Free plan
Number of columns and rows
To adjust the number of columns and rows of the Reviews Grid Widget:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
Scroll down to the LAYOUT section.
For desktops, adjust the Number of columns (Desktop) and Number of rows (Desktop) sliders (or enter a number from 1-6).
For mobiles:
For Number of columns (Mobile), select between 1 and 2.
Adjust the Number of rows (Mobile) slider (or enter a number from 1-6).
Click Save on the top right.
Review details
To control what appears on each review card in the Reviews Grid Widget:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
Scroll down to the LAYOUT section.
Enable any of the following options:
Show stars
Show reviewer name
Show review title
Click Save on the top right.
3. Styling
Corner styling
To choose the corner style for each review card in the Reviews Grid Widget:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
Scroll down to the STYLING section.
Open the Corner styling dropdown.
Select one of the following options: Square, Soft, Round, Extra round.
Click Save on the top right.
Card spacing
To set the spacing between each review card in the Reviews Grid Widget:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
Scroll down to the STYLING section.
Open the Card spacing dropdown.
Select one of the following options: Zero, Small, Medium, Large.
Click Save on the top right.
Colors
To customize the colors used in the Reviews Grid Widget:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
Scroll down to the STYLING section.
Adjust any of the following color options: Header and "Show more" text color, Star and reviewer name color, Drop shadow color, Overlay and background color, Content color.
Click Save on the top right.
4. Header
Available on the Free plan
"From our customers" title
To adjust the "From our customers" title in the Reviews Grid Widget header:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
Scroll down to the HEADER section at the bottom.
In the Header text field, edit the default "From our customers" texts.
Click Save on the top right.
Average rating text
To disable the average rating under the "From our customers" title in the Reviews Grid Widget header:
Go to the Reviews Grid Widget settings.
Scroll down to the HEADER section at the bottom.
Disable Average rating text.
Click Save on the top right.
