Bring your Etsy reviews to Shopify—for free. Judge.me connects securely with Etsy to automatically import and display your reviews, saving you time and giving shoppers the confidence to buy.

How it works

Here’s how syncing reviews from your Etsy store works:

You connect your Etsy store and initiate the sync.
We use SKUs to map your active Etsy products to relevant Shopify products.
- Matching products is done on the Product Variant level.
- If the same SKU appears in multiple Shopify products, or in multiple variants of the same Shopify product, the review won’t be synced as we can’t tell which product the review belongs to .
- Etsy does not store which variant the review was left for. For Etsy products with variants, as long as 1 variant has an SKU that matches to a product variant in Shopify, then all reviews for that Etsy product will be matched to the product variant in Shopify.
Once mapped, reviews in the active Etsy products will be synced to the mapped Shopify products.
- New reviews are synced automatically every 7 days.
- All Etsy-synced reviews include images when available and are marked as verified in Judge.me.
You can display your synced reviews using any of our widgets.

Considerations

Reviews from inactive, sold-out, draft, or expired Etsy products and rating-only reviews will not be fetched.
Etsy reviews cannot be edited, deleted, updated, or privately replied to from Judge.me.
Etsy reviews synced or imported through methods other than this official Etsy sync feature won't be verified in Judge.me as they don't provide verification data that meets our standards.

Sync reviews from Etsy

To start syncing reviews from your Etsy store:

From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Judge.me Reviews > Settings.
Go to Integrations.
Search for "Etsy" and open the Etsy integration card.
In the Etsy syndication section, click Get started.
Log in to your Etsy account, then click Grant access to connect your Etsy store to Judge.me.
Back in your Judge.me admin, click Sync reviews.
In the next pop-up, click the checkbox next to "Delete duplicated reviews after the import is finished (Recommended)". When enabled:
- We'll scan all your existing reviews.
- If a review we’re about to sync has the same rating, body, and created date as an existing one, we won’t sync it again to prevent duplicates.
Click Sync reviews, and you're all set!

Check your syndication result

Sync status

Once you've connected to sync reviews from Etsy, to see the status of your sync:

From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Judge.me Reviews > Settings.
Go to Integrations.
Search for "Etsy" and open the Etsy integration card.
In the Etsy syndication section, you'll see:
- If the connection fails: "Connection failed, please try again or contact customer support".
- If your sync is in progress: "Sync in progress. You’ll receive an email notification when it’s finished".
- If your sync completes:
  - Your Etsy store name
  - The last sync date (e.g. "Last synced on 1 Dec 2025")
  - Number of synced reviews and matched products in the last sync (e.g. "23 reviews added across 8 products").
  - An Export import log link to send the sync result to your Admin notification emails.

Sync result email

We'll send a detailed sync result to your Admin notification emails.

The email is sent from support@judge.me, with the subject "n Etsy reviews successfully synced to Judge.me".

In this email, you'll find:

Number of synced reviews in the last sync
Number of matched products in the last sync
Number of unmatched products and their SKUs, URL, and title in Etsy

If your Etsy reviews aren’t syncing because products can’t be matched:

First, find the unmatched Etsy products in the sync result email.
Make sure that each SKU isn't used in multiple Shopify products, or in multiple variants of the same Shopify product.
Update the SKUs for these products in Etsy to match their SKUs in Shopify. We only detect product changes based on Etsy’s last updated time, so changing SKUs in Shopify won’t trigger a match.
Once you've updated the SKUs in Etsy, we'll try to map the products again in the next sync.

Manage your Etsy review syndication

1. View synced reviews

To view the reviews you sync from Etsy:

From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Judge.me Reviews > Reviews.
In the ★ Reviews tab, click the Search and filter icon (🔍︎☰) on the right.
Click Add filter + on the left and select Source.
Click the checkbox next to "Etsy".

2. Sync schedule

To sync new Etsy reviews are synced automatically every 7 days:

From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Judge.me Reviews > Settings.
Go to Integrations.
Search for "Etsy" and open the Etsy integration card.
In the Etsy syndication section, click the checkbox next to "Automatically import reviews every 7 days".
Click Save.

You can also sync reviews manually once daily:

From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Judge.me Reviews > Settings.
Go to Integrations.
Search for "Etsy" and open the Etsy integration card.
In the Etsy syndication section, click the Sync reviews manually button.

3. Reauthorize to get reviewer names

Previously, Etsy reviews synced into Judge.me showed the reviewer as “Etsy customer.” We've now updated this so reviews will sync with the actual reviewer name shown on Etsy.

If you connected Etsy before this change, you can reauthorize your Etsy connection to start syncing reviewer names correctly.

To reauthorize your Etsy connection and grant permission to sync reviewer names:

Disconnect the current connection:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Judge.me Reviews > Settings.
- Go to Integrations.
- Search for "Etsy" and open the Etsy integration card.
- Click the Upgrade button in the banner. This will disconnect your old Etsy connection and redirect you to your Etsy app management page.
- In your Etsy app management page, find Judge.me Ltd and click Disconnect.
- In the confirmation pop-up, click Disconnect to confirm.
Authorize the new connection:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Judge.me Reviews > Settings.
- Go to Integrations.
- Search for "Etsy" and open the Etsy integration card.
- In the Etsy syndication section, click the Get started button.
- On the Etsy permissions page, click Grant access.
- Back to your Judge.me admin, click Sync reviews.

4. Disconnect your Etsy review syndication

To disconnect the Etsy review syndication:

From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Judge.me Reviews > Settings.
Go to Integrations.
Search for "Etsy" and open the Etsy integration card.
In the Etsy syndication section, click Disconnect.
In the next pop-up, click Disconnect again to confirm.

When you disconnect the Etsy review syndication:

All previously synced reviews will remain in your Judge.me account.
If you reconnect to the same Etsy store, we'll only sync new reviews collected since your last connection.
If you connect a different Etsy store, we’ll start syncing new reviews from the newly connected store going forward.
