Bring your Etsy reviews to Shopify—for free. Judge.me connects securely with Etsy to automatically import and display your reviews, saving you time and giving shoppers the confidence to buy.
How Etsy review syndication works
Once you enable Etsy review syndication in Judge.me:
We start fetching reviews from active Etsy products.
Reviews from inactive, sold-out, draft, or expired Etsy products will not be fetched.
We then use SKU to know which Shopify product to sync the review to.
Each Etsy product will be linked to a Shopify product via a matching SKU.
If the same SKU appears in multiple Shopify products, or in multiple variants within the same Shopify product, we can’t tell which product the review belongs to — so the review won’t be synced.
For products with variants, as Etsy does not store which variant the review was left for, if at least one variant’s SKU matches in Shopify, reviews for that Etsy product will be synced to that Shopify product.
All Etsy-synced reviews are marked as Verified and include images when available.
New Etsy reviews are synced automatically every 7 days.
Considerations
Currently, all reviews synced from Etsy will display the reviewer name as "Etsy Customer".
Etsy reviews cannot be edited, deleted, updated, or privately replied to from Judge.me.
Set up your Etsy review syndication
To enable Etsy review syndication:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Import reviews.
Scroll down to find the Sync Reviews section.
Next to Etsy, click Show settings > Get started.
Click Grant access to connect your Etsy store to Judge.me.
Back in your Judge.me setting, click Sync reviews.
In the next pop-up:
You are informed that Etsy customer names are anonymized and will appear as "Etsy customer". Check the box to confirm.
You can remove duplicated reviews after the syndication is complete. This option is enabled by default, but you can uncheck the box to turn this off if needed.
Click Sync reviews, and you're all set!
Sync status & notifications
You'll see a success status showing the last sync date and the number of synced reviews and products. If there’s an issue, an error message will appear with a downloadable error log file.
If the connection fails, you’ll be prompted to reconnect your Etsy account.
Manage your Etsy reviews
If your Etsy reviews can’t be synced to Shopify due to unmatched products, please update the product SKUs in Etsy (instead of Shopify) so they match the SKUs in your Shopify store. Judge.me relies on the last updated time in Etsy to detect newly created or modified products. If the SKUs are only changed in Shopify, we won’t be able to detect the changes and match the reviews correctly.
Connection and sync schedule
If you disconnect your Etsy account or turn off automatic syndication, the synced reviews will stay in your Judge.me account.
When you reconnect to the same Etsy store, Judge.me will sync any new reviews collected since your last connection during the next scheduled sync.
If you connect a different Etsy store, reviews from that new store will be syndicated to your Shopify store instead.
How duplicate reviews are handled
If a duplicate review exists across multiple sources (such as a CSV file or another app), Judge.me will keep the version synced automatically from Etsy, as it’s verified and more reliable.
If the duplicate comes from an older manual Etsy import, we’ll still prioritize the automatically synced review from Etsy, regardless of the import date.
