The Judge.me and Lokalize integration translates product review text and displays the translated version for the visitor’s language. Translate an existing review collection in bulk, refine individual wording, and optionally enable Auto-Translate for ongoing feedback.
Carry product feedback into another language
A gardening store selling to French-speaking customers can translate existing secateurs reviews rather than starting its French storefront with unreadable feedback. Lokalize’s theme widget replaces the original review text with the appropriate translation on the storefront.
Keep translations useful as reviews change
Use individual editing or AI translation when a particular review needs attention. Enable Auto-Translate for Judge.me Reviews to translate new feedback; changes to review text are picked up on the next run. Lokalize skips text it has already translated, so the ongoing workflow focuses on content that needs a translation.
How the integration works
Install both apps on your Shopify store and connect Lokalize using your Judge.me private API token. Add and publish your target languages, and enable AI for the languages you want translated automatically.
Activate Lokalize’s Image and Custom Translation Widget in your theme. Then select Judge.me Reviews for bulk translation or work on individual reviews. Auto-Translate is an optional setup step; enable it for the required languages if you want ongoing translation. Check a reviewed product in each published language.
Before you connect
Judge.me: the integration is available on Free and Awesome.
Lokalize: the Business plan is required to translate Judge.me reviews. AI translation also depends on available credits.
Storefront display: published target languages and the active Lokalize theme widget are needed to show translations.
Translation scope: this connection translates review text. Judge.me’s multilingual widgets handle fixed labels such as “Customer reviews.”
Disconnecting: existing translations remain on the storefront, but new reviews stop translating until you reconnect.
