Importing reviews from Amazon with the Chrome extension

Updated this week

Available on the Free plan

While we don't support exporting reviews from Amazon, and Amazon does not offer a native export option, you can typically use a third-party Chrome extension which can help you scrape and download your Amazon review data manually.

Once you have a .csv file of the reviews from Amazon, you can manually import these reviews to Judge.me.

How it works

Here’s a quick look at how importing reviews from Amazon works:

  1. You can export your reviews from Amazon using a third-party Chrome extension at any time—either as a one-time import of your existing reviews, or whenever you receive new ones..

  2. Upload that file to Judge.me.

  3. Once imported, these Amazon reviews will appear on the corresponding product pages through the installed Judge.me widgets.

Considerations

  • We are not affiliated with the Chrome extension used for exporting reviews, so we can’t guarantee its continued availability or functionality.

  • Reviews imported from Amazon will not be marked as verified on Judge.me.

Why imported reviews aren't verified

Imported reviews from Amazon won't be verified in Judge.me since they don't provide verification data that meets our standards.

We uphold strict verification standards to ensure that Judge.me medals remain a powerful trust signal, which helps you:

  • Build stronger credibility with potential customers

  • Stand out from competitors with authentic social proof

  • Increase conversion rates through customer feedback

To maximize your impact:

  • Focus on collecting new verified reviews via Judge.me’s review requests to maintain strong medal performance.

  • Enable Review transparency badges to show customers where each review comes from and boost trust.

Troubleshoot

Missing columns

Issue:

When trying to upload the export file of Amazon reviews, you run into this error message: "Missing columns: Author Name, Content, Date, Rating, and Photos. Please provide both reviews source and CSV file with right headers".

Why it happens:

This error typically occurs if you're using an older export file format, likely generated by a previously recommended third-party Chrome extension.

As we’ve updated our recommendation to a new extension, the required CSV format has changed accordingly.

How to fix:

To avoid this error, you can either:

  1. Use the new recommended Chrome extension above to export the reviews from Amazon.

  2. Or use our Import Wizard to match the column headers to the correct Judge.me fields.

Note:

According to Judge.me's policies, imported reviews should be genuine and you should have permission to use them.
