Review requests dashboard

The Review requests dashboard (or Requests History dashboard) helps you monitor the performance of your review requests and quickly troubleshoot any issues. Review requests will appear in the dashboard once the related order has been fulfilled.

To access the Review requests dashboard:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Reviews > Review requests.

  2. From there, you can see all review requests for fulfilled orders and action on the requests.

Two views for requests

Available for Early User Program participants

Use the Product view and Order view buttons at the top-right of the page to change how the review requests appear on your dashboard.

  • Product view shows one row per product — a three-item order is three rows. This is the classic view for Judge.me requests.

  • Order view groups every request in an order onto one row, with counted status badges like "3x Sent." Click a row to open the order's detail page.

Product view

Order view

Your choice is remembered in your browser and in the page link. Switching views keeps your search and filters.

Review request analytics

Available for Early User Program participants

A card at the top of the page that summarizes your review requests for a date range you pick, separate from the table below it. Changing this card's date range doesn't filter the table, and filtering the table doesn't change this card.

Range options: Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days (default), Last 12 months, Custom.

The card shows 5 tiles (in Order view, the first tile is titled "Orders" and counts orders instead of products — everything else works the same):

  • Product line items — your total for the date range. Every request you're tracking falls under this.

  • Pending — not sent yet, whether it's still waiting to be scheduled or already scheduled. (A request with a reminder still queued sits here too, even though its row in the table below still shows Sent.)

  • Sent — already sent, whether or not the email is confirmed delivered yet.

  • Not sent — won't be sent: either it was skipped, or it failed to send.

  • Reviews collected — how many of these requests actually turned into a review. This is the one that's counted separately — it overlaps with Sent, since a request can be both "sent" and "led to a review" at the same time.

Pending + Sent + Not sent always add up to your total (Product line items). Reviews collected is the exception — it's a separate count layered on top, not a slice of the same total.

Two more things you'll see on the card:

  • An arrow (▲/▼) next to a number — the trend vs. the same length of time right before your date range (e.g. for "Last 90 days," it compares to the 90 days before that).

  • A dash (—) instead of a number — Judge.me couldn't calculate a reliable count for that one. This can happen when the selected date range covers a lot of orders. It isn't a sign anything's broken.

If the whole card fails to load, you'll see "Could not load metrics" with a Reload button.

Sort requests

  2. Click a column header — Order, Date, or Customer — to sort by it. Click the same header again to reverse the order.

  3. Or open the sort dropdown next to the filters and pick the same three options.

Sorting is available in Product view only — Order view always shows orders by fulfilled date.

Available on the Free plan

To check the status of your sent review request emails:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Reviews > Review requests.

  2. Find a sent request you want to check and click the 3-dot icon (⋯) on its right.

  3. Select "See email history".

    • Email template – which template was used.

    • Status – whether the email was opened or if the review link was clicked.

    • History – click the View more button to see detailed activity for that request.

  5. When you click View more, you’ll see the full activity log for that specific email, including:

      • Sent – the email was sent successfully.

      • Delivered – the email reached the customer’s inbox.

      • Email Opened – the customer opened the email.

      • Link Clicked – the customer clicked the review link.

      • Review Written – the customer submitted a review.

    • Details – shows device, browser, and location information (when available).

Check status of the review requests

Judge.me automatically skips review requests in the following situations to ensure relevance and avoid over-emailing:

  • Refunded or edited orders: If you refund or remove specific items, those items are excluded from the review request. For full order refunds, the request is skipped once we receive a restocking notification from Shopify.

  • Returns: Orders with active return requests are excluded. If needed, we may ask for additional permissions to access return data.

The Review requests dashboard shows the current status of each review request so you can track what has been sent, what’s scheduled, and what needs attention.

To see the status of your review requests:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Reviews > Review requests.

  2. Check the Status column.

1. Already reviewed

A review request is skipped and marked as "already reviewed" if the customer already left a review for the same product in a different order.

As each customer can only review a product once, if you want them to update their review, you can use the Ask customer to update review action instead.

2. Another variant in the order

A review request is skipped and marked as "another variant in the order" if we've already scheduled a request for a different variant of the same product in the order.

If you still want to send this request, you can use the Send request now action.

3. Cannot process Custom line item

A review request is skipped and marked as "cannot process Custom line item" when the customer bought a customized version of the original product (e.g. a necklace engraved with their name).

Because the custom item isn’t linked to a specific product page, we cannot match it to a reviewable product and you can’t use Send request now for these cases.

To collect reviews for custom line items, you can manually schedule review requests that point to the original product the customization is based on.

In both cases, be sure to enter the product URL of the original, non-customized product so the review can be correctly attributed.

4. Email does not accept marketing

A review request is skipped and marked as "Email does not accept marketing" if the "Send review requests to customers who have opted out of Shopify marketing emails" setting is disabled and the customer did not subscribe to marketing emails at checkout.

Requests with the “no email found” status cannot be resent with the Send request now action — if you try, you'll encounter the same status.

5. Email failed to deliver

A review request is skipped and marked as "Email failed to deliver" if:

  • The customer uses a Gmail address but your DKIM and Return-Path are not verified. If DKIM and Return-path are not verified, Gmail may block your review request emails. Once both are verified, you can resend the request.

If you're not part of the Early user program:

    1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Reviews > Review requests.

    2. Find the request you want to resend and click the 3-dot icon (...).

    3. Select Send request now.

If you're part of the Early user program:

    1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Reviews > Review requests.

    2. Find the request you want to resend and click the standalone Send request button on its right.

  • The customer uses an invalid or outdated email address. In this case, you can manually schedule a new request to their new email address.

6. Event sent to Klaviyo

Review requests are marked as "Event sent to Klaviyo" when you enable "Send trigger when it’s time to send a review request".

This status doesn’t confirm whether the email was sent or delivered by Klaviyo, only that the event was sent successfully from Judge.me.

7. Hard bounce or spam complaint

A review request is skipped and marked as "hard bounce or spam complaint" in these cases:

  • Hard bounce: The email address no longer exists.

  • Spam complaint: The customer might have clicked This is Spam or Mark as Spam in their email clients for a previous email sent by Judge.me.

In either case, our email provider (Postmark) blocks future emails to protect your sender reputation and Judge.me will automatically skip sending new requests to that address.

While we can attempt to reactivate the email address upon request, we generally recommend guiding the customer to leave a review directly on your product page instead.

8. Line item per order exceeded

A review request is skipped and marked as "line item per order exceeded" when the number of products in the order has passed the limit you've set for sending review requests.

For example, if the Collect reviews for this many items per order setting is set to 3 and the order has 5 products:

  • We will send out the review requests for 3 products.

  • We will skip the other 2 products and show the status "line items per order exceeded".

To avoid this, you can increase the number of review requests to send out for each order.

9. No email found

A review request will be skipped with the status "no email found" if there are no email address or phone number when the order was created (e.g. the customer added their email after checkout).

Requests with the “no email found” status cannot be resent with the Send request now action — if you try, you'll encounter the same error.

Instead, you can manually add a new request to reach out to the customer:

10. No engagement in the previous request

A review request with this status "no engagement in the previous request" is a reminder request. It is skipped if neither the initial review request nor the previous reminder email was opened by the customer. In this case, no further reminders will be sent. This helps prevent over-emailing disengaged recipients.

As this is the expected behavior designed to respect customer engagement levels, no action further action is needed when you see this status.

11. Product not in store

A review request is skipped and marked as "product not in store" when:

  • the product was set to Draft or was deleted

  • or the product is not available in your Online Store sales channel

To send review requests for out-of-store products:

  1. Enable review requests for out-of-store products:

    • From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request scheduling.

    • Scroll down to the Advanced section.

    • Click the checkbox next to "Send review requests for out-of-store products".

    • Enter a backup URL, ideally your Reviews Page. This link will be used in the email if the original product is unavailable.

    • Click Save.

  2. Then, resend the skipped requests with the Send request now action.

12. Request sent for another order recently

A review request is skipped and marked as "request sent for another order recently" if we already sent a review request to the same customer in the last 7 days.

If you still want to send this request, you can use the Send request now action to do so manually.

13. Review request is disabled for domestic order

When the "Send requests for domestic orders" setting is disabled:

  • A review request is marked as "Skipped, review request is disabled for domestic order" if the request has already been skipped.

  • A review request is marked as "Will skip, review request is disabled for domestic order" if the request is scheduled to be skipped.

If you re-enable the "Send requests for domestic orders" setting:

  • Requests already skipped will not be retroactively resent.

  • Requests scheduled to be skipped will change back to the "Will be processed" status.

If you only want to resend one request with the "Review request is disabled for domestic order" status, use the Send request now action.

14. Review request is disabled for international order

When the "Send requests for international orders" setting is disabled:

  • A review request is marked as "Skipped, review request is disabled for domestic order" if the request has already been skipped.

  • A review request is marked as "Will skip, review request is disabled for domestic order" if the request is scheduled to be skipped.

If you re-enable the "Send requests for international orders" setting:

  • Requests already skipped will not be retroactively resent.

  • Requests scheduled to be skipped will change back to the "Will be processed" status.

If you only want to resend one request with the "Review request is disabled for international order" status, use the Send request now action.

15. Reviewer's email is in blacklist

A review request is skipped and marked as "reviewer's email is in blacklist" if the customer’s email address was added to your Emails blocklist.

If you still want to send the request, remove the customer’s email address from the blocklist first, then use the Send request now action to resend the request.

16. Unsubscribed email

A review request will be skipped and marked as "unsubscribed email" if the customer has previously clicked Unsubscribe in another review request.

Requests with this status cannot be resent with the Send request now action — if you try, you'll encounter the same error.

To see all customers who unsubscribed from your review requests:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request scheduling > Manage blocklist.

  2. Scroll down to the Unsubscribed emails section.

  3. Click View unsubscribed emails to see the list of unsubscribed customers.

17. Waiting for delivery

A review request is marked as Waiting for delivery when it's set to send after the order is delivered. This applies whether the request was scheduled under the Delivered order trigger, through the AfterShip integration, or under our older delivery-based scheduling (used before order triggers were introduced).

The request isn't scheduled to send yet — it's waiting for Shopify to confirm that the order was delivered. Once we receive that delivery update, the request is scheduled and the status changes to Will send on.

A request stays in Waiting for delivery while we're still waiting for that delivery confirmation. It gets stuck there indefinitely when the confirmation never arrives — the carrier or tracking app doesn't report it, the tracking details are delayed, or the order is never marked as delivered.

A request can be on this delivery-based schedule for two reasons:

  • It's on the Delivered trigger. Enabling the fulfilment fallback — which sends the request a set time after fulfilment — stops these from waiting indefinitely on future orders. This fallback doesn't cover orders tracked through the AfterShip integration; if an AfterShip-tracked order's delivery confirmation never arrives, use Send request now to send it manually.

  • It was scheduled before you changed your trigger. If your store previously scheduled requests on delivery — under the Delivered trigger or our legacy delivery-based scheduling — and has since moved to a different trigger, such as Fulfilled, that change only applies to new orders. Requests created beforehand aren't rescheduled, so they keep their original delivery-based schedule. Your newer orders follow your current trigger and aren't affected.

In both cases, the request stays in Waiting for delivery only because the delivery confirmation hasn't come through — not because of the trigger setting itself.

To send a request that's waiting for delivery right away:

If you're not part of the Early user program:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Reviews > Review requests.

  2. (Optional) Click the Search and filter icon (🔍︎ᯤ), add a Status filter, and select Waiting for delivery to list these requests.

  3. Find the request you want and click the 3-dot icon (...) on its right.

  4. Select Send request now.

  5. In the next popup, click the Send request button to confirm.

If you're part of the Early user program:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Reviews > Review requests.

  2. (Optional) Click the Waiting status tab at the top of the table to list these requests.

  3. Find the request you want and click the standalone Send request button on its right.

  4. In the next popup, click the Send request button to confirm.

Force-sending a request this way skips its normal reminder cycle, so no reminders will be sent for it.

18. Will be processed

A review request shows this status right after it's created, before Judge.me has evaluated whether to send or skip it. You'll see it briefly:

  • Right after an order is fulfilled (or delivered, depending on your trigger)

  • After a manually scheduled request is added

  • After certain settings changes re-queue existing requests for re-evaluation (see items 13 and 14 above)

This status doesn't last long — Judge.me evaluates the request shortly after and moves it to its real status (e.g. Will send, Skipped, or Waiting for delivery). If a request seems stuck on Will be processed, refresh the page — it's likely already moved on and the dashboard just hasn't updated yet.

Troubleshoot

I'm missing requests in the Review requests dashboard

If you notice that some review requests seem to be missing from the Request requests dashboard, there are two common reasons:

  1. The order hasn’t been fulfilled yet

    • Review requests are only scheduled after an order is marked as fulfilled in your store.

    • If the order is still unfulfilled, you won’t see a request in the dashboard.

  2. The requests are sorted by fulfilled date

    • The dashboard sorts requests by the fulfilled date (shown in the Date column), not by order ID.

    • This means requests may appear out of sequence when comparing order numbers. For example, if Order #2224 was fulfilled later than Order #2389, it will appear lower in the list even though the order number is smaller.

Requests History search filter can’t be cleared

If the Requests History dashboard still shows results from a previous search, and there is no option on the page to clear the filter, it's usually because the page keeps the previous search parameters in the URL, so the filtered results remain even after refreshing the page.

In that case, you can simply open the Requests History dashboard directly using this link: Reviews > Review requests. Opening the page from this link loads the dashboard without any search filters applied.
