Considerations

If you're looking to transfer all reviews from one product to another:

  • We generally don’t recommend exporting and re-importing the reviews. This can easily cause duplicates or confuse which product the review originally referred to.

  • Instead, please use a Product Group, which allows you to show the same reviews on multiple products without moving or duplicating them.

The export file

If you export fewer than 25 reviews, the file will be downloaded to your computer immediately.

If you export more than 25 reviews, we'll prepare the file in the background. Once the exported reviews are ready, we'll send you a notification to the email addresses listed in your Admin notifications setting.

Troubleshoot

I didn't receive the export email

Issue:

You've requested a review export but never received the email with the file

Why it happens:

You might not see the export email after exporting the reviews because:

  • The export email was filtered into your spam/junk folder.

  • You're checking a different inbox.

  • There was a delivery issue with the email address used for notifications

How to fix:

To make sure you receive the export email, try these methods:

1. Check your spam/junk folder

The export email might have been filtered by your email provider.

2. Make sure you're checking the correct inbox

The export is sent to the email address listed in your Judge.me admin notification setting. Verify that you're checking the right inbox for the email(s) listed there.

3. Try exporting again using a different email

  • From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Admin notifications.

  • Under Admin notification emails, enter up to 3 email addresses separated by commas. For example: storeowner@example.com, support@example.com, teamlead@example.com.

  • Click Save.

  • Return to the Reviews section and reinitiate the export.

I received the export email but can't download the reviews

Issue:

You received the export email, but when you click the download link in the email, it either doesn't work or shows an error.

Example of the error message:

  • "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below"

  • "AccessDenied"

  • "Request has expired"

Why it happens:

The export links expire 3 hours after the email is sent, so if you can't download the reviews using the link in the export email, it's likely that the link has expired.

How to fix:

If it's been more than 3 hours since you received the export email, the link has expired. You can go back to Reviews and reinitiate the export.
