Commslayer is a lightweight helpdesk for Shopify stores, offering AI-powered agents to automate support. With the Judge.me integration, merchants can manage all product reviews directly inside Commslayer—respond, moderate, and track customer sentiment without switching platforms.


How it works

This integration turns product reviews into support tickets—making them as easy to manage as any customer conversation. You can respond, moderate, and track review sentiment directly inside Commslayer, without switching platforms.

What you can do:

  • Centralized review inbox – New reviews automatically create tickets in your dedicated Judge.me inbox

  • Full customer context – View a customer’s review history in the ticket sidebar

  • Flexible replies – Respond publicly on your store or privately via email

  • One-click moderation – Hide or republish reviews without leaving your helpdesk

Once enabled, the integration syncs Judge.me reviews in real time, including:

  • Star rating and review text

  • Product details

  • Customer name and email

  • Review status (published, unpublished, spam)

Common use cases:

  • Handle negative reviews quickly – Automate workflows to flag and respond to 1–2 star reviews

  • Build customer relationships – Thank customers for 5-star reviews with personalized messages

  • Track sentiment patterns – Use tags to identify recurring product issues


Considerations

  • Review history appears only for email tickets.

  • Reviews created before the integration won't sync retroactively.


Set up the Commslayer integration

To connect Judge.me with Commslayer:

  1. In Commslayer, go to Settings > Inboxes.

  2. Click Add new inbox.

  3. Select Judge.me from the list.

  4. Follow the authentication flow to connect your Judge.me account.

  5. Your Judge.me inbox will be created automatically


Using the integration

Respond to reviews

  1. Open a review ticket from your Judge.me inbox.

  2. Choose to reply publicly (posted on your store) or privately (sent as an email via Judge.me).

  3. Write your response and click Send.

Moderate reviews

  • To hide a review:

    • Open the review ticket

    • Click the dropdown and select Hide review

    • The review is immediately unpublished from your store

  • To unhide a review:

    • Open the hidden review ticket

    • Select Publish to republish it

View customer review history

When handling email support tickets:

  • Check the right sidebar for Customer reviews

  • See all reviews from that customer, including product names and ratings

  • Click any review to open its corresponding ticket

Note: Review history is only available for email tickets, not social media interactions


Troubleshoot

Issue: Integration not connecting


Solution: Confirm you’re on the Judge.me Awesome plan. API access is required.

Issue: New reviews aren't creating tickets


Solution: Check that the Judge.me inbox is active under Settings > Inboxes.

Issue: Can't see customer reviews in the sidebar


Solution: This feature only works for email tickets. It doesn't apply to social media messages.

Issue: Missing older reviews


Solution: The sync only includes reviews created after the integration is enabled.
