Give reviewers a reward they can use next time

Judge.me and Essential Loyalty let Shopify merchants reward published product reviews with loyalty points or store credit. Customers contribute feedback through Judge.me and receive a reward in their Essential Loyalty account to use on a future purchase.

Make reviewing part of your loyalty programme

Customers already checking their loyalty account can see a Write a review action in the dashboard and supported loyalty widgets. It makes the opportunity to earn a review reward visible within the programme they already use. Enable the review action and the Loyalty account page so customers can find it.

Choose points or store credit for the next purchase

Set the review reward to match your programme: points that add to a customer’s loyalty balance, or store credit they can redeem on a future purchase. You choose the amount in Essential Loyalty. Store credit requires Essential Loyalty’s Essential plan or above and Shopify’s new customer accounts.

How Judge.me and Essential Loyalty work together

Judge.me sends Essential Loyalty a webhook whenever a customer leaves a review. Essential Loyalty adds the configured points or store credit once that review is published and matches the earning rule you’ve set up in Essential Loyalty — reviews left before you connected, or left but not yet published, don’t earn anything.

Customers can see their updated balance in their Loyalty account. You manage the reward action and amount in Essential Loyalty, while reviews remain in Judge.me. Follow the connection and reward setup guide for configuration.

Before you connect

• Plans and platform: Install both apps on the same Shopify store. Judge.me’s Free plan supports this integration, and Essential Loyalty offers the connection on all its plans, including Free. Store-credit rewards require Essential Loyalty’s Essential plan or above and Shopify’s new customer accounts.

• Eligibility: rewards apply only to published product reviews that match the earning rule you set up in Essential Loyalty. A review submitted but not yet published, or left before you connected the apps, doesn’t earn anything.

• Account setup: in Essential Loyalty, enable the Leave a product review earning action and the customer’s Loyalty account page. To connect, go to Essential Loyalty’s Settings > Integrations, open the Judge.me card, click Connect with Judge.me, then Authorize on the Judge.me page.

• Stacking: if you also use Judge.me’s own review coupons, a customer can get both the Judge.me coupon and the Essential Loyalty reward for the same review.

• Support: Essential Loyalty develops and maintains the integration. Its support team is the best contact for integration or reward issues.
