The Judge.me and EL Recently Viewed Products integration adds star ratings and review counts to recently viewed product cards. Shoppers can return to products they have explored and see how other customers rated them.
Make a return visit easier to assess
A shopper comparing picnic blankets may open several product pages before deciding. A recently viewed widget brings those items back into view, while ratings and review counts give them feedback to consider as they narrow their choice.
You can choose where ratings appear in each card, adjust their styling and check the layout on mobile. For products without reviews, choose to hide those products or display custom text such as “No reviews”.
How the integration works
Install both apps on the same Shopify store and configure the recently viewed widget. Enable the review display in EL Recently Viewed Products, select Judge.me as the review provider, then configure the review count and card layout.
To test it, visit a product that has reviews, then open a page with the recently viewed widget. The widget needs browsing history before it can show a product. Rating data can take time to update, so revisit the product if the latest rating is not yet visible.
Before you connect
Judge.me: the integration is available on the Free plan.
EL Recently Viewed Products: live stores need a paid Pro or Lifetime plan. The free plan is for development stores.
Display conditions: a shopper must have viewed at least one product. Products without reviews use the empty-rating behavior you choose.
Scope: EL Recently Viewed Products controls the cards and styling. It displays existing ratings; it does not collect or moderate reviews and does not replace your main Review Widget.
