EL Recently Viewed Products helps shoppers return to products they browsed earlier by showing them in a widget across your store. With the Judge.me integration, you can display star ratings and review counts directly inside each recently viewed product card — no custom code needed.
Considerations
Products need existing Judge.me review data before ratings can appear.
The EL Recently Viewed Products widget only appears after a shopper has viewed at least one product.
Review data may not appear instantly if Judge.me or Shopify has not made the rating data available yet.
EL Recently Viewed Products controls the visual styling of the review badge inside its own widget, so the stars match the widget's settings rather than the full Judge.me widget layout.
This integration displays Judge.me ratings in recently viewed product cards. It does not replace Judge.me's main review widgets on product pages.
EL Recently Viewed Products does not create, collect, moderate, or request reviews. It only displays review information that already exists in Judge.me.
This integration is developed and maintained by the EL Recently Viewed Products team. While we're happy to guide you where we can, their support team will be best equipped to assist you with any questions or issues.
How it works
EL Recently Viewed Products reads the existing Judge.me review data connected to each Shopify product. When a shopper visits a product page, the widget stores the product information. If Judge.me review data is available, the widget can also show the product's rating and review count.
After enabling the integration, you can choose how reviews appear inside the widget:
Show stars with review count
Choose where reviews appear in the product card
Hide products with no reviews, or show custom "No reviews" text
Match the review styling to your store's design
Set up the EL Recently Viewed Products integration
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
Judge.me app installed.
EL Recently Viewed Products app installed.
Step 1: Enable the Judge.me integration
Open EL Recently Viewed Products in your Shopify admin.
Go to Widget settings.
Open the Reviews section.
Enable Show product reviews.
Under Review integration, select Judge.me.
Step 2: Choose how reviews appear
Configure the following display options:
Display — how the rating is shown
Position — where the rating appears in the product card
Products without reviews — hide them or show custom text
Mobile layout — how reviews display on mobile
Click Save.
Step 3: Customize the review style (Optional)
You can further customize the review badge appearance:
Review text template
No reviews text
Star size
Text size
Spacing above
Spacing below
Star color
Empty star color
Review text color
Make sure to click Save after making changes.
Step 4: Verify the integration
Visit a product page on your storefront.
Browse to another page where the EL Recently Viewed Products widget is shown.
Products with available Judge.me review data should now show review stars inside the widget.

Make sure:
Judge.me is installed
The product has reviews
Show product reviews is enabled in Widget settings > Reviews.
The widget appears, but some products do not show stars
The widget appears, but some products do not show stars
Those products may not have Judge.me reviews yet. Check the product in Judge.me and confirm that review data is available.
New submitted reviews do not appear immediately
New submitted reviews do not appear immediately
Wait a short time and visit the product page again. Review data can depend on Shopify and Judge.me making the latest badge data available.
