Creating a QR code or a review link to collect reviews

Learn how to collect reviews using QR codes and shareable links for POS

Collecting reviews is easier than ever with Judge.me's review collection tools. Whether you sell in person or online, you can generate QR codes and shareable links to invite customers to leave reviews. These tools are easy to distribute and work seamlessly across emails, packaging, and physical locations.

Collect reviews with a QR code

When to use QR codes

QR codes are ideal for:

  • Parcel inserts: Include a QR code on packaging inserts or shipping labels so customers can scan right after unboxing.

  • In-store displays: Place printed QR codes near checkout counters or fitting rooms so customers can review their in-store experience while it's fresh.

  • Handouts: Provide business cards or flyers with a QR code during events, trade shows, or pop-up markets to encourage follow-up reviews.

How to create a QR code

Follow these steps to generate a review QR code in Judge.me:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Collect Reviews > Schedule and Reminders.

  2. Scroll down to the Links, QR codes and point of sale card at the bottom.

  3. Click Get started.

  4. In the QR code styling section, select a color: black, golden, green, grey, or navy.

  5. Choose the type of QR codes you want to generate, then click Download PNG.

    • Product review collection: This QR code lets customers instantly review a specific product. Simply search for your product, and we’ll generate a unique QR code you can print or share.

    • All products page: This QR code links to a searchable list of all your products. Customers can easily find what they purchased and leave a review.

    • Store review: This QR code directs customers to a form where they can leave a general review of your store.

  6. Use design tools like Canva or Adobe Express to add branding before printing or sharing.

To generate a review QR code:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request reviews.

  2. Scroll down to the Links, QR codes and point of sale review collection section.

  3. Click Manage.

  4. Choose the type of review link you want to create:

    • Product review collection: Direct customers to review a specific product.

    • All products page: Link to a searchable list of all your products, so customers can easily find and review what they purchased.

    • Store review: Let customers leave a general review of your store.

  5. In the QR code styling section, select a color: black, golden, green, grey, or navy.

  6. Click Download PNG to get the QR code for your selected link type.


Tips: Use clear calls-to-action like "Scan to leave a review" or "Tell us what you think".


Collect reviews with a review link

When to use review links

Review links are useful in these cases:

  • Customer support follow-up: Share the link in one-on-one chats or helpdesk replies to collect feedback after resolving an issue.

  • Email newsletters: Add the review link in your regular store updates or seasonal campaigns to prompt feedback from loyal customers.

  • New product launches: Invite past customers to try and review new arrivals, using the link as part of a soft launch or early access promo.

  • Giveaways and incentives: Run a "Review & Win" campaign where customers who leave a review using the link are entered into a prize draw or get a discount code.

How to get a review link

To get a review link:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Collect Reviews > Schedule and Reminders.

  2. Scroll down to the Links, QR codes and point of sale card at the bottom.

  3. Click Get started.

  4. Choose the type of review links you want to create.


Product review collection link

A Product review collection link lets customers instantly review a specific product.

To create a product-specific review link:

  1. In the Product review collection link section, search for your product you want to get the review link for.

  2. Under Redirect reviewers to, choose from these options:

    • Judge.me page (recommended)

    • In-store review form

  3. Click Copy link to clipboard.


All products page link

An All products page link directs customers to a searchable list of all your products. Customers can easily find what they purchased and leave a review.

To create a general review link for all products:

  1. In the All products page link section, click Copy link to clipboard.


Store review link

A Store review link directs customers to a form where they can leave a general review of your store.

To create a review link for the store:

  1. In the Store review link section, click Copy link to clipboard.

You can create a shareable review link to collect reviews from customers directly.

To generate a review link:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request reviews.

  2. Scroll down to the Links, QR codes and point of sale review collection section.

  3. Click Manage.

  4. Choose the type of review link you want to create:

    • Product review collection link: Direct customers to review a specific product.

    • All products page link: Link to a searchable list of all your products, so customers can easily find and review what they purchased.

    • Store review link: Let customers leave a general review of your store.

  5. Click Copy link to clipboard to get the link.


Add the review link to your Shopify Point of Sale settings

If you’re using Shopify Point of Sale (POS), follow these steps to create a QR code for your printed receipt using the Judge.me review link.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.

  2. Click Point of Sale, then click Open sales channel.

  3. In the left sidebar, go to Point of Sale > Settings.

  4. Under the Customize section, click Receipts.

  5. Scroll to the QR code section and check the box Custom QR code.

  6. Enter a title like "Scan the QR code to leave your review!"

  7. Paste the Product review collection link into the URL field.

Note: If you use the product review link or QR code, you can still prompt customers to leave a store review after they submit a product review. Learn how to set up post-review prompts (Awesome plan only).

Example of a QR/link review collection flow

  1. Customers click the link or scan the QR code and land on a review form.

  2. They search for the product they want to review and click Write a review.

  3. After submitting a product review with optional photos, they may be prompted to leave a store review (if enabled).

  4. They can choose to Review another product and repeat the process.
