At Judge.me, authenticity is everything. Reviews are powerful because they reflect genuine customer experiences. That said, there may be times when a review contains a typo, missing photo, or personal information that needs updating.
This article explains how to make small edits—such as fixing typos or adding images/videos—while preserving the integrity of the original review.
Considerations
To comply with Shopify's guidelines and and maintain the trustworthiness of reviews:
Edits are limited to 30 characters, including deleted characters.
The original reviewer will be notified when there's an edit in their review.
What you can edit
Within the 30-character limit, you can:
Correct typos or grammatical errors
Clarify wording for better understanding
Add a photo or video to enhance the review
What can't be edited
For collected reviews, these fields cannot be changed:
The Reviewer name
The rating of the review
The date the review was submitted
Instead:
You can send a Review Update Request to ask the reviewer to change their rating, name, or feedback.
If you have set up Judge.me in Shopify's Customer Account, customers can also edit their reviews there.
