Collecting and displaying reviews for Shopify Bundles

Learn how Judge.me works with Shopify Bundles to sync bundle products, control review collection, and display bundled product reviews correctly.

If you use Shopify Bundles (Shopify’s bundles app), Judge.me can detect bundle products and help you collect and display reviews correctly for bundles and their component products.

With Shopify Bundles support, you can:

  • Sync bundle products automatically

  • Control how reviews are collected for bundles

  • Display reviews for bundles and their component products in a clear, consistent way



How Shopify Bundles work with Judge.me

When you sell products using Shopify Bundles, customers purchase several products together as one bundle.

When bundle support is enabled in Judge.me:

  • Judge.me automatically recognizes which products are bundles and which products are included in those bundles

  • You choose how review requests are sent:

    • for the bundle,

    • for the bundled products,

    • or for both

  • You choose how reviews are displayed on bundle product pages

For example, if Product A is a bundle that includes Products B and C:

  • Judge.me can request reviews for A, B, C, or all of them (based on your settings)

  • The bundle page for Product A can show reviews for A, B, and C together

  • Individual product pages show only reviews for that product

This keeps reviews clear for shoppers while giving you flexibility in how feedback is collected and displayed.


Considerations

  • In Bundle settings, the changes are automatically saved without the need to manually save.

  • Bundle products can’t be added to Product Groups.

  • Turning bundles off or downgrading to the Free plan reverts Judge.me to standard product review behavior.

  • Some features don’t currently apply to bundled reviews, including:

    • Review search

    • Keywords

    • AI summaries


How to enable Shopify Bundles support

To enable Shopify Bundles in Judge.me:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Bundles.

  2. In Bundle sync and review settings, turn on Bundle sync and review settings.

  3. Your changes will automatically be saved.

Judge.me will start syncing your bundle products. This may take some time, depending on how many bundles you have.

Once bundles are enabled:

  • Bundle products are synced automatically

  • New bundles added in Shopify are picked up automatically

  • You can click Sync bundles manually at any time to refresh bundle data


Choosing how reviews are collected for bundles

Under Settings for newly synced bundles, you can choose how Judge.me sends review requests.

These settings apply to newly synced bundles by default.
You can update settings for existing bundles later from the bundles table.

You can choose to:

  • Request reviews for bundle (customers review the bundle product)

  • Request reviews for bundled products (customers review the products inside the bundle)

  • Enable both options

This lets you collect feedback about:

  • The bundle as a whole

  • The individual products

  • Or both


Displaying bundled product reviews on bundle pages

You can control whether bundled product reviews appear on the bundle product page. When Display bundled product reviews on the bundle page is enabled:

  • The bundle product page shows:

    • Reviews written for the bundle

    • Reviews written for each bundled product

Bundled product reviews show their product thumbnails, so shoppers can easily see which product each review refers to.

Individual product pages continue to show only reviews for that product.



Managing individual bundles and bundled products

After enabling bundle sync, Judge.me lists your bundles in Settings > Bundles.

Each bundle appears in a table showing its current review configuration, including:

  • Whether review requests are enabled for the bundle product

  • Whether review requests are enabled for bundled products

  • Whether bundled product reviews are displayed on the bundle product page

This gives you a quick overview of how reviews are collected and displayed for each bundle.

Actions available for each bundle

For each bundle, click the three-dot (⋯) on the right side of the row to access available actions. From this menu, you can:

  • View in store: Open the bundle product on your storefront

  • View in Shopify admin: Open the bundle product in Shopify

  • Disable request review for bundle: Stop sending review requests for the bundle product

  • Disable request reviews for bundled products: Stop sending review requests for products inside the bundle

  • Disable display reviews for bundled products: Hide bundled product reviews from the bundle product page

Clicking a bundle in the table takes you to a dedicated page where you can manage its settings and reviews. These settings apply only to that bundle.

On the bundle’s product management page, you can:

  • Enable or disable review requests for the bundle

  • Enable or disable review requests for bundled products

  • Control whether bundled product reviews are shown on the bundle product page

  • See which products are included in the bundle

For bundled products, clicking a product opens its Product management page, where you can manage reviews and requests for that product individually. Learn more in Managing reviews and review requests for each product.
