Showing reviews on Shopify Bundle products

Updated over 2 months ago

A bundle is a set of two or more related products, often sold together at a discounted price. With the Shopify Bundles app, you can create fixed bundles or multipacks directly from your Shopify admin.

Judge.me treats each bundle as a separate product, with its own Review Widget and review data. This means:

  • The bundle product will not inherit reviews from the individual products inside it.

  • The individual products will not show reviews collected on the bundle product either.

Multipacks (same product, multiple units)

If your bundle is a multipack of the same product (e.g. 3-pack of the same shampoo), you can use Product Groups to share reviews between:

  • the single product

  • the multipack

  • any other variant of the same product

This works well because all items in the group are essentially the same product.

Fixed bundles (different products combined)

If your bundle combines different products (e.g. a skincare set with cleanser, toner, and moisturizer), using a Product Group will share reviews across all items in the group, including the bundle itself. This may not be ideal, since the individual products could be quite different.

As a workaround, you can create Product Groups to share reviews between the bundle and the main product from the bundle only. The main product can be the most expensive product or the most reviewed product.

This way:

  • The bundle product will show reviews from the main product.

  • Reviews left on the bundle product will also appear on the main product.

For example: In your skincare bundle, cleanser is the most popular product.

  • You can create a product group between the Skincare Set and the Cleanser.

  • This way, the skincare set bundle will display the reviews of the Cleanser, which builds trust and helps conversion

  • Any new reviews left for the Skincare Set will also appear on the Cleanser product page.
