Help shoppers discover products using ratings and review content

The Judge.me and Searchanise integration brings product ratings and review counts into Searchanise Search & Filter. Shoppers can compare feedback in search and collection results and narrow their choices by rating. The legacy API connection also supports searching product review text.

Put ratings beside the products being compared

A shopper looking for a garment steamer can see each product’s rating and review count before opening its page. Rating filters help narrow the results when customer feedback is part of the buying decision.

Searchanise now supports Judge.me through its Shopify Standard connection. This reads Shopify’s standard review data to display ratings and counts, with ratings available for filtering and sorting.

Help shoppers search the words customers use

The legacy Judge.me API connection includes a separate option to search products by reviews. This can help a shopper find a product through wording in customer feedback, alongside its title and description.

Choose the Shopify Standard route for ratings and counts. For review-text search, use the legacy API connection and enable its review-search option.

How the integration works

For ratings and counts, enable Shopify Standard in Searchanise’s product-review integrations and re-index the store.

For the legacy API route, enable Searchanise in Judge.me, connect it using your private API token in Searchanise and re-index. Enable the review-search option when you want review text included. Follow the relevant guide for the route you choose.

Before you connect

• Plans and platform: use both apps on Shopify. The documented integration requires Judge.me Awesome and Searchanise Basic or a higher plan with integrations.

• Connection choice: distinguish the Shopify Standard ratings connection from the legacy API route used for review-text search.

• Refresh timing: the Judge.me guide describes review updates every 24 hours for the legacy connection. Re-index after setup; do not assume every new review appears immediately.

• Preview: check a reviewed product in search and collection results, plus any rating filters or review-text search you enabled.
