The Judge.me and Also Bought CBB integration adds product star ratings and optional review counts to Code Black Belt’s recommendation widget. Shoppers can see customer feedback alongside suggested items on product and cart pages.
Give related products more than an image and price
Someone browsing a chess set may discover another set through an Also Bought recommendation. The product’s rating gives them feedback to consider before opening its page or adding it to the cart.
The connection supports the moment of discovery: Also Bought supplies the product recommendations, while Judge.me supplies their ratings. The rating describes the individual suggested product.
Show how much feedback sits behind a rating
Turn on the review count when you want shoppers to see how many reviews contribute to a product’s rating. You can also adjust the star colours and display styles in Also Bought to fit your recommendation widget.
This gives merchants a choice between a compact stars-only display and more context beside each recommendation.
How the integration works
Install both apps on your Shopify store. In Also Bought’s visual preferences, choose Judge.me as the rating provider and select whether to show review counts.
Products that have reviews can then display their ratings in the widget. Preview a recommendation containing a reviewed product to check your chosen stars and count display.
Before you connect
Plans: Judge.me’s Free plan includes basic product stars and review counts. Also Bought CBB uses a paid Professional subscription after its trial.
Existing reviews: a recommended product without reviews does not show stars or a review count.
Display choices: select Judge.me as the provider, then choose the count and styling options you need.
