Exclude specific email addresses
1. Review request emails
Available on the Free plan
To prevent the review request emails, review request reminder emails, and coupon emails from being sent to specific email addresses:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request scheduling > Manage blocklists.
In the Review requests blocklist section at the top, in the Emails blocklist
> Don't send to these emails field, enter the email addresses you want to exclude.
Separate multiple addresses with commas.
Use wildcards to block address patterns:
*@domain.comblocks all addresses from a domain.no-reply@*blocks all addresses starting withno-reply@.
Click Save.
2. Reply notification email
To prevent the reply notification emails from being sent to specific email addresses:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request scheduling > Manage blocklists.
Scroll down to the Post-review notifications blocklist section.
In the Reply notification email > Don't send to these emails field, enter the email address you want to exclude.
Separate multiple addresses with commas.
Use wildcards to block address patterns:
*@domain.comblocks all addresses from a domain.no-reply@*blocks all addresses starting withno-reply@.
Click Save.
3. Media reminder email
To prevent the media reminder emails from being sent to specific email addresses:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request scheduling > Manage blocklists.
Scroll down to the Post-review notifications blocklist section.
In the Media reminder email > Don't send to these emails field, enter the email addresses you want to exclude.
Separate multiple addresses with commas.
Use wildcards to block address patterns:

Click Save.
4. Web review confirmation email
To prevent the Web review confirmation emails from being sent to specific email addresses:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request scheduling > Manage blocklists.
Scroll down to the Post-review notifications blocklist section.
In the Review confirmation email > Don't send to these emails field, enter the email addresses you want to exclude.
Separate multiple addresses with commas.
Use wildcards to block address patterns:

Click Save.
Exclude specific products
1. Exclude specific products with in-app setting (recommended)
To prevent the review request and review request reminder emails from being sent for a specific product, you can use the in-app setting:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Product management.
Find the product you want to exclude.
Click the three-dot icon (...) next to that product.
Select Turn off review requests.
To allow review request and review request reminder emails to be sent again for that product:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Product management.
Find the product you want to include.
Click the three-dot icon (...) next to that product.
Select Turn on review requests.
2. Exclude products with the "judgeme_excluded" tag
When a product has the judgeme_excluded tag, we will not send review request emails for that product.
To prevent the review request emails from being sent for a specific product, you can add the judgeme_excluded tag to that product in Shopify:
From your Shopify admin, go to Products.
Open the product you want to exclude.
From the panel on the right, scroll down to the Product organization section.
In the Tags field, enter
judgeme_excludedand click +Add judgeme_excluded.Click Save.
To allow review request emails to be sent again for that product:
Step 1: Remove the tag from the product in Shopify
From your Shopify admin, go to Products.
Open the product you want.
From the panel on the right, scroll down to the Product organization section.
Click x next to the
judgeme_excludedtag.Click Save.
Step 2: Enable the review request for the product in Judge.me:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Product management.
Find the product you want.
Click the three-dot icon (...) next to that product.
Select Turn on review requests.
3. Exclude products with a specific tag
You can exclude all products that have a specific tag by adding that tag to the Tag blocklist in Judge.me. When a product has a tag that matches the Tag blocklist, review request emails will not be sent for that product.
To prevent the review request emails from being sent for products with a specific tag:
Step 1: Add the tag in Judge.me:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request scheduling > Manage blocklists.
In the Review requests blocklist section at the top, in the Tag blocklist field, enter the tag you want to exclude. Separate multiple tags with commas.
Click Save.
Step 2: Add the tag to the product in Shopify:
From your Shopify admin, go to Products.
Open the product you want to exclude.
From the panel on the right, scroll down to the Product organization section.
In the Tags field, enter the tags you added in Step 1.
Click Save.
To allow review request emails to be sent again for a specific product with the custom tag:
Step 1: Remove the tag from the product in Shopify
From your Shopify admin, go to Products.
Open the product you want.
From the panel on the right, scroll down to the Product organization section.
Click x next to the tag you want to remove.
Click Save.
Step 2: Enable the review request for the product in Judge.me:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Product management.
Find the product you want.
Click the three-dot icon (...) next to that product.
Select Turn on review requests.
To allow review request emails to be sent again for all products with a specific tag:
Step 1: Remove the tag from the tag blocklist
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request scheduling > Manage blocklists.
In the Review requests blocklist section at the top, in the Tag blocklist field, remove the tag you want.
Click Save.
Step 2: Enable the review request for the product in Judge.me:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Product management.
Find the product you want.
Click the three-dot icon (...) next to that product.
Select Turn on review requests.
Exclude specific customers
1. Exclude customers who opted out of Shopify emails
Available on the Free plan
This is particularly relevant for businesses operating in regions with stringent regulations governing marketing emails, such as Germany, the United States, the European Union, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and similar jurisdictions.
To prevent the review requests from being sent to customers who opted out of Shopify marketing emails:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Request scheduling.
Scroll down to the Advanced section.
Unclick the checkbox next to Send review requests to customers who have opted out of Shopify marketing emails.
Click Save.
2. Exclude customers with the "judgeme_excluded" tag
When a customer has the judgeme_excluded tag, we will not send the following emails to that customer:
Review request email
Review request reminder email
Coupon email
Media reminder email
Web review confirmation email
To add the judgeme_excluded tag to a customer in Shopify:
From your Shopify admin, go to Customers.
Open the customer you want to exclude.
From the panel on the right, scroll down to the Tags section.
In the Tags field, enter
judgeme_excludedand click +Add judgeme_excluded.Click Save.
3. Exclude customers with a specific tag
You can exclude all customers that have a specific tag by adding that tag to the Tag blocklist in Judge.me. When a customer has a tag that matches the Tag blocklist, we will not send the following emails to that customer:
Review request email
Review request reminder email
Coupon email
Media reminder email
Web review confirmation email
To exclude customers with a specific tag:
