Checkout Extender: All in 1 is a Shopify app that lets you customize every part of your checkout and post-purchase pages without code. With the Judge.me and Checkout Extender integration, you can display product reviews and star ratings directly at checkout to build trust and reduce cart abandonment.
How it works
The integration connects Judge.me review data to two separate features in Checkout Extender:
Testimonials block — A standalone section you place on your checkout page using the checkout editor. It pulls full written reviews for the products in the customer's cart from Judge.me and displays them with the customer name, star rating, review text, and a verified badge.
Ratings on upsell cards — Star ratings and review counts from Judge.me appear inside upsell product cards on your checkout, post-purchase, and thank you/order status pages. Customers can see how well-reviewed a product is before adding it.
Both features work independently — you can use one or both. Review data refreshes automatically whenever a customer visits or reloads the page.
Considerations
This integration requires a paid plan on Checkout Extender: All in 1. The Testimonials block requires the Plus plan, and upsell ratings on thank you, order status, and post-purchase pages require the Growth plan or above. Please check Checkout Extender's pricing page for details.

How to set it up
Before you begin
Install the Judge.me Product Reviews app and make sure your products already have reviews collected
Install the Checkout Extender: All in 1 app
Step 1: Open the Testimonials settings
In your Shopify admin, open the Checkout Extender: All in 1 app.
On the app's home page, click Checkout extensions.
Under the Customer trust tab, select Testimonials.
Step 2: Select Judge.me as the review source
At the top of the page, find the Select Review Source section.
Turn on the toggle for the Judge.me card. Only one review source can be active at a time.
Step 3: Set up the Testimonials block
Scroll down to the Testimonials Status card and turn on the toggle.
Set your section heading (e.g. "What our customers say").
Choose how many reviews to show per product (1–5).
Choose a display mode: Stacked (up to 4 reviews with pagination) or Carousel (one review at a time).
If you chose Carousel, configure slide settings such as arrows and auto-slide as needed.
Step 4: Set up ratings on upsell cards
Scroll down to the Show Ratings on Upsell Widgets section.
Turn on the toggle for each placement where you want ratings to appear.
For each enabled placement, choose Position: either below the product title or below the price.
Step 5: Save and place the block
Click Save at the top of the page.
Click Open checkout editor on the right side panel.
In the editor, click Add block.
Search for Testimonials and drag it to your preferred position on the page.
Click Save in the editor.
Troubleshoot
No reviews showing in the Testimonials block
No reviews showing in the Testimonials block
Issue:
The Testimonials block appears on your checkout page but does not display any reviews.
Why it happens:
The products in the customer's cart may not have any reviews in Judge.me, or the Testimonials block may not be properly configured.
How to fix:
Make sure the product in the cart has reviews in Judge.me. Confirm that Testimonials Status is toggled on and saved. Verify you placed the Testimonials block in the checkout editor and saved the editor.
Star ratings not showing on upsell cards

Issue:
Upsell product cards appear at checkout or on the thank you page but do not show star ratings.
Why it happens:
Judge.me may not be selected as the review source, the rating toggle may be off for that placement, or the upsell product has no reviews in Judge.me.
How to fix:
Make sure Judge.me is selected as the review source and saved. Check that the toggle is on for the specific placement (checkout, post-purchase, or thank you page). Note that products with zero reviews will not show a rating — the upsell card still appears normally.
Testimonials block shows a "Plus plan required" message

Issue:
Instead of reviews, you see a message about requiring the Plus plan.
Why it happens:
The Testimonials block requires the Plus plan on Checkout Extender: All in 1.
How to fix:
Go to your plan page inside Checkout Extender: All in 1 to upgrade to the Plus plan or higher.
