Instafeed helps Shopify merchants turn Instagram feeds, stories, highlights, and videos into engaging, shoppable storefront experiences. With the Judge.me × Instafeed integration, you can display Judge.me star ratings and review counts on products tagged in Instagram posts, stories, and link-in-bio pages, use your best customer reviews to create AI-powered Instagram posts, and give shoppers trusted social proof while they browse and buy from your Instagram content.
How it works
The integration connects your Judge.me review data to your Instagram content displayed through Instafeed:
You connect your Judge.me account to Instafeed from within the Instafeed app.
Instafeed pulls your Judge.me star ratings and review counts for each product.
When you tag a product on an Instagram post or story in Instafeed, the product card automatically displays the Judge.me star rating and review count.
Shoppers browsing your Instagram feed, stories, or link-in-bio page see trusted review data alongside your Instagram content, helping them make confident purchase decisions.
You can also use Instafeed AI Studio to generate Instagram posts that spotlight your best Judge.me reviews.
Considerations
This integration is developed and maintained by the Instafeed team. While we're happy to guide you where we can, the Instafeed support team will be best equipped to assist you with any questions or issues.
How to set it up
Before you begin
Install the Judge.me Product Reviews app.
Install the Instafeed app.
Have an Instagram account connected in Instafeed.
Have at least one product with a published Judge.me review.
Step 1: Connect Judge.me to Instafeed
From your Shopify admin, open the Instafeed app.
Go to Media → Advanced.
Under Product reviews (Judge.me), click Connect Judge.me.
Approve the access request and return to Instafeed.
Confirm that Connected with Judge.me appears in the Product reviews section.
Step 2: Tag products on Instagram posts
In Instafeed, go to Media → Posts.
Select an Instagram post and click Link product.
Choose the product that has a published Judge.me review.
Step 3: Add Instafeed to your storefront
Open your Shopify theme editor from Online Store → Themes → Customize.
Add the Instafeed app block to your desired page.
Click Save.
Open your storefront and select the tagged Instagram post. The product card should display the Judge.me star rating and review count.
Step 4: Display reviews on link-in-bio (optional)
In Instafeed, open Link in bio.
Enable the page and tagged products.
Click Save.
Open the public preview of your link-in-bio page.
Select a tagged post and confirm that the Judge.me star rating appears on the product card.
Step 5: Create AI-powered review spotlights (optional)
In Instafeed, go to AI Studio → Create.
Choose the product that has published Judge.me reviews.
Click Spotlight a review.
Confirm that the best published Judge.me review is added to the post text.
Click Start generation to create the review spotlight post.
Troubleshooting
Judge.me connection fails or doesn't appear
Judge.me connection fails or doesn't appear
Issue:
Clicking Connect Judge.me does not complete the connection, or the Connected with Judge.me status does not appear.
Why it happens:
The connection may fail if Judge.me is not fully installed or if browser pop-up blockers prevent the approval window from opening.
How to fix:
Make sure the Judge.me app is installed and active on your Shopify store. Disable any pop-up blockers in your browser, then try clicking Connect Judge.me again. If the issue persists, contact the Instafeed support team for assistance.
Star ratings don't appear on tagged products
Star ratings don't appear on tagged products
Issue:
After tagging a product on an Instagram post, the product card does not display the Judge.me star rating or review count.
Why it happens:
The tagged product may not have any published Judge.me reviews, or the Judge.me connection may not be active.
How to fix:
Verify that the product has at least one published review in your Judge.me dashboard. Then go to Instafeed Media → Advanced and confirm that the Judge.me connection shows as active. If the product has reviews but ratings still don't appear, try unlinking and re-linking the product on the Instagram post.
AI Studio doesn't show Judge.me reviews for a product
AI Studio doesn't show Judge.me reviews for a product
Issue:
When using AI Studio to spotlight a review, no Judge.me reviews appear for the selected product.
Why it happens:
The selected product may not have any published Judge.me reviews, or the Judge.me connection may need to be refreshed.
How to fix:
Make sure the product has at least one published review in Judge.me. Go to Media → Advanced and check that the Judge.me connection is active. If needed, disconnect and reconnect Judge.me, then try again in AI Studio.
