Integrating with Checkout Plus to display reviews at checkout

Learn how to display Judge.me product reviews and ratings at Shopify checkout using Checkout Plus to build trust and increase conversions.

Checkout Plus lets you customize your Shopify checkout, thank you, and order status pages. With the Judge.me integration, you can display product reviews and star ratings directly at checkout to build trust and increase conversions.


How it works

When you connect Judge.me to Checkout Plus, your product reviews become available as checkout content:

  1. You connect your Judge.me account to Checkout Plus from the Checkout Plus Integrations page.

  2. Checkout Plus fetches your Judge.me product reviews and ratings.

  3. You add the Benefits, Reviews & Testimonials block to your Shopify checkout using the Checkout Editor.

  4. Customers see your product reviews and star ratings during checkout, providing social proof at the point of purchase.

Considerations

  • This integration is developed and maintained by the Checkout Plus team. While we're happy to guide you where we can, the Checkout Plus support team will be best equipped to assist you with any questions or issues.


How to set it up

Before you begin

Step 1: Connect Judge.me to Checkout Plus

  1. From your Shopify admin, open Apps and select Checkout Plus.

  2. Open the Integrations page.

  3. Find Judge.me and click Connect.

Step 2: Configure reviews at checkout

  1. In Checkout Plus, go to Checkout Customizations.

  2. Select the Benefits, Reviews & Testimonials card.

  3. Scroll to the Reviews Integration section.

  4. Select JudgeMe as the provider.

  5. Click Save.

Step 3: Add the block to your checkout

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Checkout.

  2. Click Customize to open the Checkout Editor.

  3. Add the Benefits, Reviews & Testimonials block from the Checkout Plus section.

  4. Click Save.


Troubleshoot


Reviews are not showing at checkout


Issue:

You've connected Judge.me and added the block, but reviews don't appear on the checkout page.

Why it happens:

The Reviews Integration provider may not be set to JudgeMe, or the block may not be added to the active checkout layout.

How to fix:

Verify that JudgeMe is selected as the provider in the Reviews Integration section of the Benefits, Reviews & Testimonials card in Checkout Plus. Then confirm the block is added and visible in the Checkout Editor. If the issue persists, contact Checkout Plus support.


Judge.me connection fails


Issue:

You can't connect Judge.me from the Checkout Plus Integrations page.

Why it happens:

The connection may fail due to a temporary issue or if Judge.me is not fully installed on the store.

How to fix:

Make sure the Judge.me app is installed and active on your store. Try disconnecting and reconnecting from the Checkout Plus Integrations page. If the issue persists, contact Checkout Plus support.
