Optimizing inventory replenishment with Forthcast

Learn how to connect Judge.me with Forthcast to automatically adjust inventory replenishment based on your product review ratings.

Available on the Free plan

Forthcast is an inventory replenishment app that helps Shopify merchants decide when and how much to reorder. By connecting Judge.me, your review data automatically shapes your inventory decisions — more buffer stock on your best-rated products so they never stock out, less tied up in low-rated ones.

Considerations

  • Forthcast requires a paid plan. Judge.me Free or Awesome both work.

  • Products need existing Judge.me review data before Forthcast can apply adjustments. Products without reviews are unaffected.

  • Review data syncs every night. Your Replenishment table will reflect the latest signals each morning.

  • The integration updates your Reorder Points and safety stock calculations. It does not automatically place orders or modify your Shopify inventory counts. You remain in control of all purchasing decisions.

  • Forthcast uses a Wilson Score lower bound at 95% confidence, not a simple star average. A product needs a meaningful number of reviews to qualify as a Hero — not just one or two high ratings.

  • This integration is developed and maintained by the Forthcast team. While we're happy to guide you where we can, the Forthcast support team will be best equipped to assist you with any questions or issues.

How it works

Once connected, Forthcast runs a nightly sync of your Judge.me review data. It calculates a statistically reliable rating score to avoid false signals from products with very few reviews. Forthcast then applies this signal directly to your replenishment numbers:

  • Hero products (high rating, high confidence): Reorder Point is automatically raised, so you order sooner and carry more stock on your best items.

  • Launch products (new product with a sudden review spike): Given maximum protection to prevent a stockout during a momentum surge.

  • Low-rated products (average below 3.5 stars): Reorder Point is modestly reduced so you do not over-invest in items customers are not happy with.

These signals surface as badges in your Replenishment table. Affected SKUs sort higher, so your best-reviewed products near stockout always appear near the top of your reorder list.

What you can do with this integration

By using this integration, you can:

  • See Hero and Launch badges on SKUs in your Replenishment table

  • Have Reorder Point and Order Quantity automatically adjusted based on review quality

  • View a Review History chart inside any SKU detail panel to track rating trends over time

  • High-rated products approaching their Reorder Point automatically sort to the top of your replenishment list

  • Prevent stockouts on your best-reviewed products without any manual intervention
