Learn how to collect product reviews through WhatsApp using WhatZi and display them with Judge.me to increase engagement and conversions.

WhatZi is a WhatsApp automation app for Shopify that helps you engage customers through order updates and post-purchase messages.

When used together with Judge.me, WhatZi helps you collect more reviews via WhatsApp — while Judge.me helps you display and leverage those reviews using powerful widgets and SEO-rich snippets.

This integration allows you to:

  • Collect reviews through WhatsApp’s high open rates

  • Increase overall review response rates

  • Display collected reviews across product pages

  • Strengthen trust, conversions, and search visibility

It's ideal for merchants who want a multi-channel review strategy beyond email alone.

How it works

The WhatZi + Judge.me workflow allows you to collect reviews via WhatsApp and showcase them using Judge.me.

1. Review collection

After an order is fulfilled:

  1. WhatZi automatically sends a WhatsApp message or poll to the customer.

  2. The message requests a product rating and optional feedback.

  3. Customers respond directly inside WhatsApp.

Because WhatsApp has higher open rates than email, this often increases review response rates.

2. Manage and display reviews

Once feedback is collected:

  • Reviews can be published in Judge.me manually, or

  • Automatically (if enabled in WhatZi settings).

Judge.me then:

  • Displays reviews using widgets on product pages

  • Shows star ratings in collections

  • Generates SEO rich snippets for search engines

3. Optimize review placement

You can use WhatZi insights (such as order volume and engagement trends) to:

  • Identify high-performing products

  • Highlight their reviews in high-traffic areas

  • Feature them on product pages, collections, or your homepage

This helps turn WhatsApp engagement into visible social proof.


Setup the WhatZi integration

To connect WhatZi with Judge.me:

  1. In the WhatZi app, go to Settings > Integration.

  2. Click Configure under Judge.me.

  3. Click Connect with Judge.me.

  4. In the pop-up window, click Authorize to approve the connection.

After authorization, a success message will appear and the pop-up will close automatically. The integration status will show as Connected after a few moments.

Configure publishing rules

After connecting, click Configure under Judge.me to manage which WhatsApp reviews are published in Judge.me.

  • Automatically publish reviews: Turn this setting On to automatically publish reviews in Judge.me

    • Reviews with comments are published immediately.

    • Rating-only reviews are published after a 24-hour waiting period.

    • Turn this setting Off if you prefer to manually review and publish WhatsApp reviews in your Judge.me admin.

  • Minimum Rating to Publish: Only reviews that meet or exceed the selected rating will be published.

    • Any rating (1-5 stars)

    • 2+ stars

    • 3+ stars

    • 4+stars

    • 5-stars only

  • Only publish reviews with comments: (On/Off)

    • Turn this setting On to skip rating-only reviews (reviews without written feedback).

    • Turn this setting Off to allow rating-only reviews to be published based on your minimum rating setting.
