Adding Shopify customer tags for web and email reviews

Updated over 2 months ago

You can automatically tag your Shopify customers based on the type of review they write in Judge.me.

When a customer submits a web review or an email review, Judge.me can add a corresponding tag to their customer profile in Shopify. These tags help you segment customers, trigger Shopify Flow automations, or better understand how your customers engage with your review requests.

How it works

When a customer leaves a review through Judge.me, we send the review type to Shopify and apply a matching customer tag:

  • Wrote Judge.me web review — added when the customer submits a review directly on your storefront.

  • Wrote Judge.me email review — added when the customer submits a review from a review request email.

These tags appear under the customer’s profile in your Shopify admin and update automatically whenever new reviews are submitted.

Enable customer tagging

To start tagging customers in Shopify when they leave a review:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Advanced.

  2. Scroll down to the Sync customers with Shopify section.

  3. Check the box next to "Sync customers who leave web and email reviews with Shopify".

  4. Click Save.
