Questions and Answers Widget (Q&A Widget)

Let customers ask product questions and display helpful answers to boost trust and sales.

Updated today

The Questions and Answers Widget lets shoppers ask product-specific questions directly on your product pages. This user-generated content builds trust, reduces support inquiries, and creates a rich FAQ that improves SEO and boosts conversions.

How it looks

The Q&A Widget can appear in different parts of your store:

  • The "Questions" tab in the Review Widget – Displays all submitted questions and their answers in the Review Widget on the product page.

    • For the Q&A Widget (new version):

    • For the Q&A Widget (legacy version):

  • The "Ask a question" button in the Review Widget – Opens a form where customers can submit their questions about the product.

    • For the Q&A Widget (new version):

    • For the Q&A Widget (legacy version):

  • The question count badge in the Star Rating Badge – Shows the total number of questions for the product and links customers to the Q&A tab.

How it works

To use the Questions tab and Ask a question button, you'd first need to install the Review Widget on your product page.

Once you've enabled the Questions tab and Ask a question button in the Review Widget, your customers can submit a question for the product directly on the product page.

When a customer submits a question:

  • The question is saved in your Judge.me admin for moderation.

  • You can publish or hide the question.

  • You can reply publicly as the store owner.

  • You can also allow other customers to reply, building a community-driven Q&A.

Once published, the question and its answers will appear in the Questions tab in the Review Widget on your product page.

Considerations

  • When the Questions tab and Ask a question button are enabled, the Ask a question button will appear even if web reviews restriction is enabled.

  • It’s not possible to display the Questions tab before the Reviews tab, even if there are no published reviews.

    • The Review Widget will always default to the Reviews tab, even if it's empty.

    • The Questions tab will only be shown as a secondary tab.

  • To use the Q&A Widget (new version), you'd first need to upgrade to the new Review widget version. If you installed the Judge.me app after December 9, 2025, you may already have this new Q&A widget by default.
