Manually send review requests using a CSV file

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Easily request reviews for orders made outside of your e-commerce platform (e.g. POS sales, WhatsApp orders) by uploading a CSV file to Judge.me. This guide walks you through creating, uploading, and reviewing manual review requests.

Step 1: Create a copy of Judge.me's template

  1. Click Make a copy to save your editable version.

Step 2: Fill in the required information

Each row in the CSV represents one review request. Use the following columns:

Column

Required?

Description

reviewer_name

Yes

Name of the customer. Only used if there's no name associated with the email.

reviewer_email

Yes

Email address where the review request will be sent.

product_id or product_handle

One required

fulfilled_at

Yes

The date the order was fulfilled (format: dd/mm/yyyy).

quantity

No

Defaults to 1 if left blank.

processed_at

No

Date to send the request. If left blank, we'll use fulfilled_at + your wait time setting. If the date is in the past, the request will be sent 10 minutes after the upload.

Step 3: Upload the file to Judge.me

  1. Go to File > Download > Comma Separated Values (.csv).

  2. In your Judge.me admin, navigate to Collect Reviews > Schedule Requests.

  3. Click Schedule requests in batch, then upload your CSV file.

For other e-commerce platforms

  1. Go to Request Status in your Judge.me admin.

  2. Click Schedule Requests.

  3. Under For orders outside of [Square/BigCommerce/Squarespace], in bulk via CSV upload, choose your file and click Upload CSV.

Step 4: Review the results

After uploading, Judge.me will:

  • Send you a confirmation email with a summary of the upload.

  • Display manual requests in the Collect Reviews > Request History with a “Manual” label.

  • Wait 10 minutes before sending review requests, even if the processed_at date is in the past.

  • You can cancel requests during this time window by clicking on the three-dot [...] icon and choosing Skip this request.

For other e-commerce platforms

  • Judge.me will display manual requests in the Collect Reviews > Request History with a “Manual” label.

  • You can cancel requests during this time window by clicking on the three-dot [...] icon and choosing Don't send for this request.

Note:

If you're using Klaviyo to send review requests, manual CSV-based requests will still be sent by Judge.me, not through Klaviyo.
