Merchandising collections by review rating with Sort'd Merchandiser

Use Judge.me review ratings to sort, filter, and automate how products are merchandised in Sort'd Merchandiser.

Sort'd Merchandiser is a collection management app with drag-and-drop merchandising, automations, and A/B testing. With Judge.me, you can sort and filter products by review rating — manually or automatically — so your best-reviewed products surface first on your live collection pages.

How it works

Once the Judge.me integration is enabled and your store has synced, Judge.me review data becomes available across the Sort'd platform.

Drag & Drop Merchandiser

  • Display Judge.me rating and review count directly on product cards while you arrange a collection, so you can see review data alongside the other information you already use when merchandising. This display is inside Sort'd's own merchandising tool — it's not a badge added to your live storefront.

  • Use Smart Sort Tools to select, move, or sort products based on review criteria — for example, find and select every product rated 3 stars or higher, move your highest-rated products toward the top, or sort a whole collection from highest to lowest rating. Applying the action does update your live collection page.

Automations

  • Use Judge.me data in a Recurring Automation to merchandise a collection automatically — for example, keep a section at the top of a collection stocked with products rated 4 stars and above.

  • Automations include a preview step, so you can check the result before switching the automation to active. Once active, Sort'd keeps applying the rule as your collection and review data change, on its own schedule, or you can trigger it immediately.

Considerations

  • This integration is developed and maintained by the Sort'd Merchandiser team. While we're happy to guide you where we can, the Sort'd Merchandiser support team will be best equipped to assist you with any questions or issues.

  • Requires a Sort'd Premium plan — this isn't available on Sort'd's free tier.

  • Works on both the Judge.me Free and Awesome plans.

  • The Merchandiser Version must be set to Pro (not Standard) to use Judge.me data.

  • Only changes how products are merchandised in Sort'd — nothing changes in Judge.me itself, and Sort'd never modifies your reviews or review data.

  • The first sync can take up to an hour; later review updates can take a few minutes to show up.

Setup

Before you begin, make sure you have an active Premium plan on Sort'd Merchandiser.

Step 1: Enable the integration

  1. Subscribe to a Sort'd Premium plan (Plans page).

  2. In Sort'd Merchandiser, open Settings from the left-hand menu, scroll to Integrations.

  3. Find Judge.me, and click Enable.

  4. Click Save at the top of the page.

  5. Wait for your store to sync — at the top of the Settings page, check Premium Setup Steps, and wait until the Sync step shows as completed.
    ​

Step 2: Display Judge.me data in the Drag & Drop Merchandiser

  1. Go to Merch Tools → Sort Collections. Under Drag & Drop Collection Merchandiser, set the Merchandiser Version to Pro, choose the collection you want to merchandise, and click Start Sorting.

  2. Once the Merchandiser has loaded, open Display from the right-hand menu, scroll to Product Integrations, and select the Judge.me information you want to display. It will now appear on your product cards while you merchandise the collection.
    ​

Step 3: Select, move, or sort products using Judge.me data

  1. Inside the Drag & Drop Merchandiser, open Tools from the right-hand menu, scroll to Smart Sort Tools, and choose an action, such as:

    • Select Products

    • Move/Sort Products.

  2. Under the products you'd like to select or sort, click Create Your Own → Select Products for this Section → Integrations Information → Select Integration Info. Choose the Judge.me data you want to use (e.g. Product Review Rating), choose your condition (e.g. More than 3), and add any other criteria you'd like (such as high purchases or sizes in stock).

  3. The matching products will appear in the Quick Sort Preview on the right-hand side. Check the selection, then click the action button to apply your change to your live collection — for example, click Move Products to move the matching products to your chosen position.

Step 4: Automatically merchandise with Automations

  1. Go to Merch Tools → Recurring Automations. Click Create Automation and choose Build Your Own, or select one of the merchandising templates (recommended). Select the collection(s) you want the Automation to manage.

  2. Scroll to the section builder and click Add a section where you want your Judge.me products to appear — for example, a section at the Top of the Collection.

  3. Inside the new section, click Create Your Own → Select Products for this Section → Integrations Information → Select Integration Info. Select the Judge.me information you want to use (e.g. Product Review Rating) and choose your condition (for example, Product Review Rating > More than 3).

  4. Scroll to Automation Preview and click Show Automation Preview to check the result before it changes your live collection. When you're happy with it, switch the Automation status to Active — it will then run on its own schedule (shown in the Automation Scheduler), or you can trigger it immediately.

Troubleshoot

Judge.me data isn't appearing in Sort'd

Check that Judge.me is enabled under Settings → Integrations, then check Premium Setup Steps at the top of the Settings page to confirm the store sync has completed. New reviews or review changes can take a few minutes to sync.

Judge.me options don't appear in the Drag & Drop Merchandiser

Make sure you're on a Sort'd Premium plan, Judge.me is enabled, your store sync has completed, and the Merchandiser Version is set to Pro. Reload the Merchandiser if needed.

My rule isn't selecting any products

Check that products in the collection actually match the Judge.me condition you've chosen — for example, a "rating higher than 3" rule won't match anything if your highest product rating is 2. Try adjusting the condition to suit your store's review data.

My latest Judge.me data isn't showing yet

Judge.me data needs to sync into Sort'd before it's available for merchandising. If you've recently received new reviews or changed review info, allow a few minutes for it to update.
