An API token lets a script, app, or AI assistant act on your Judge.me Email account without you logging in each time. The most common use is connecting an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT, so it can check your campaigns, flows, subscribers, and analytics, and act on your behalf — drafting a new campaign, scheduling one, or turning a flow on or off — without you leaving the chat.
How it works
Connect an AI assistant — paste the MCP address into Claude or ChatGPT's connector settings, approve the connection when prompted, and it can:
Read your campaigns, flows, subscribers, and analytics dashboard
Draft and edit new campaigns (name, subject, preview text, sender, reply-to)
Schedule a campaign to send, or pull a scheduled one back to draft
Cancel a send that's in progress
Turn an automated flow on or off
Every one of these actions still asks the assistant to explicitly confirm before anything changes what reaches your customers — see Considerations below.
Create an API token for other tools — if you're using a script or app that can't go through that approval step, create a named token instead and use it the same way.
Considerations
A token's value is shown only once, right after you create it. Store it somewhere safe — if you lose it, revoke that token and create a new one.
Tokens can't be renamed after creation. To rename one, delete it and create a new one with the name you want.
Tokens don't expire on their own — revoke or delete one yourself when you're done using it.
Requests are limited to 120 per minute per token, so a runaway script can't overload your store.
An AI assistant can't permanently delete a campaign, send one immediately without a chance to cancel, edit a flow's content, or change your sending domain, branding, or popup settings. It also can't create or manage tokens, including its own. Any action that changes what reaches your customers — scheduling a send, cancelling one, or turning a flow on or off — requires the assistant to explicitly confirm first, so nothing happens by accident or from something it read in a message.
Connect an AI assistant or create a token
Step 1: Connect an AI assistant
From Judge.me admin, go to Settings > API tokens.
Copy the MCP address shown under Connect an AI assistant (MCP).
When the assistant tries to connect, you'll be sent to Judge.me to approve it. Review what it's asking to do, then click Connect.
Step 2: Create an API token for other tools
From Judge.me admin, go to Settings > API tokens.
Enter a Token name you'll recognize later — this is just for you; the tool never sees it.
Click Create token.
Copy the token immediately and store it somewhere safe. You won't be able to see it again.
