Making reviews visible to AI shopping assistants

Learn how to enable AI shopping visibility so AI assistants can read your reviews, ratings, Q&A, and review summaries.

Available on the Free plan for Early user program participants

AI shopping assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini, can recommend products and stores to shoppers when they can read trusted review content. AI shopping visibility helps make your Judge.me reviews, ratings, Q&A, and AI-generated summaries readable directly from your store pages.

This gives AI assistants and search engines a clearer picture of your products, helping shoppers discover your store through authentic customer feedback.

How it works

When AI shopping visibility is turned on, Judge.me adds your review content to your store pages as server-rendered HTML. This means the content appears in the page source, so AI crawlers can read it without needing to run JavaScript.

The AI-readable content can include:

  • Review bodies, star ratings, reviewer names, and review dates

  • Merchant replies to reviews

  • Custom review question answers, such as fit, skin type, or age

  • AI-generated review summaries and sentiment keywords, if available

  • Rating distribution, including the 1–5 star breakdown

  • Q&A content, including questions and answers

  • Review photos

Judge.me also expands the structured data, or JSON-LD schema, on your product pages. This can include:

  • Your full aggregateRating, with the true review count and average rating

  • Up to 50 of your most content-rich recent reviews as individual Review schema nodes

  • Q&A content as Question and Answer schema nodes

This helps AI assistants and search engines understand your store’s reviews more accurately, without relying only on JavaScript-rendered content.

Considerations

  • AI shopping visibility is turned on by default for all stores.

  • The AI visibility toggle controls server-rendered HTML content only.

  • Your existing SEO Rich Snippets settings, including JSON-LD, remain separate and are not affected by this toggle.

  • No new visible storefront UI is added. The feature only makes review content that already appears in your widgets easier for AI assistants to read.

  • Review photos can be included in the AI-readable content.

  • Reviews with photos or detailed text are prioritized for structured data.

  • Up to 50 content-rich recent reviews can be included in the schema.

  • Q&A is included in structured data only when questions have at least one answer.

  • If a product is part of a product group or bundle that borrows reviews from other products, Judge.me includes a disclosure note in the AI-readable content.

  • Stores using the legacy Review Widget should upgrade to the new Review Widget for full AI visibility.

How to turn it off

If you don't want AI assistants to read your review content:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Google, SEO and AI.

  2. Under AI shopping, uncheck the checkbox next to AI visibility.

  3. Click Save.

How to verify AI shopping visibility is working

To check whether your review content is visible to AI assistants:

  1. Open one of your product pages in a browser.

  2. Right-click the page and select View page source. Do not use Inspect.

  3. Search for jdgm-ssr-reviews.

  4. If you find jdgm-ssr-reviews, your review content is being server-rendered.

  5. Search for application/ld+json.

  6. Look for a Judge.me Product schema block that includes aggregateRating and review arrays.
