Drip is a marketing automation platform that helps brands engage and retain customers with email marketing and targeted workflows. With the Judge.me and Drip integration, you can automatically sync review data into Drip and trigger personalized email follow-ups based on review ratings.
How it works
Here's what happens when a customer submits a review:
A customer submits a product review on your store.
Judge.me sends a "Left a review" event to Drip, including the rating, review comments, and product title.
Drip matches the reviewer's email to an existing subscriber profile, or creates a new one.
Drip applies a rating tag to the subscriber based on the review score: judgeme-positive-rating (4–5 stars), judgeme-neutral-rating (3 stars), or judgeme-negative-rating (1–2 stars).
The corresponding Drip workflow fires automatically, executing your configured follow-up actions.
Drip includes three pre-built workflows ready to use out of the box: Judge.me: Positive Review, Judge.me: Neutral Review, and Judge.me: Negative Review. Each workflow is triggered when a review matching its rating band is submitted.
Considerations
This integration requires a paid plan on Drip. Please check Drip's pricing page for details.
This integration is developed and maintained by the Drip team. While we're happy to guide you where we can, the Drip support team will be best equipped to assist you with any questions or issues.
How to set it up
Before you begin
Install the Judge.me Product Reviews app and make sure you're on the Awesome plan.
Install the Drip app and have an active paid Drip account.
Have your Judge.me API credentials ready: Shop Domain, Public API Token, and Private API Token. You can find these in your Judge.me admin under Settings > Integrations > API tokens.
Step 1: Connect Judge.me to Drip
From your Drip admin, click Settings in the left-hand navigation.
Click Integrations.
Find Judge.me in the integrations directory and click into it.
Fill in the three fields:
Click Connect.
The page should refresh into a connected state. Webhooks register with Judge.me automatically — you don't need to configure anything on the Judge.me side.
Step 2: Verify the connection
To confirm the integration is working, submit a test review on your storefront and check that it appears in Drip:
On your Shopify storefront, navigate to a product page with the Judge.me review widget visible.
Click Write a review and submit a review with a 5-star rating using a test email address.
In your Drip admin, click People in the left-hand navigation and search for the test email address.
Open the subscriber profile and verify:
The tag judgeme-positive-rating is present.
A "Left a review" event appears in the subscriber's timeline with rating, body, product, and reviewer fields populated.
Click Workflows in the left-hand navigation and verify the Judge.me: Positive Review workflow's triggered counter has incremented by 1.
Troubleshoot
Reviews are not appearing in Drip
Reviews are not appearing in Drip
Issue:
You submitted a review but it doesn't appear in the subscriber's profile or trigger a workflow in Drip.
Why it happens:
This usually means the integration isn't connected properly, or the webhook wasn't registered.
How to fix:
Go to Settings > Integrations > Judge.me in your Drip admin and check that the status shows as connected. If not, re-enter your Shop Domain, Public API Token, and Private API Token, then click Connect again. Make sure you're using the correct credentials from your Judge.me admin under Settings > Integrations > API tokens.
Workflows are not triggering
Workflows are not triggering
Issue:
The review event appears in the subscriber's timeline, but the corresponding workflow doesn't fire.
Why it happens:
The pre-built Judge.me workflows may not be activated yet.
How to fix:
In your Drip admin, go to Workflows and locate the Judge.me workflows (Positive Review, Neutral Review, Negative Review). Make sure each workflow you want to use is set to Active. If a workflow is paused or in draft, click into it and activate it.
Subscriber is not being created in Drip
Subscriber is not being created in Drip
Issue:
A review was submitted but no subscriber appears in Drip for the reviewer's email.
Why it happens:
This can happen if the reviewer used an email address that Drip cannot process, or if the integration connection was interrupted.
How to fix:
Submit a new test review using a valid email address. If the subscriber still doesn't appear, disconnect and reconnect the integration in Drip > Settings > Integrations > Judge.me. For further assistance, contact the Drip support team.
