Excluding Judge.me metafields in the Shopify Translate & Adapt app

Updated over 2 months ago

If you’re using the Shopify Translate & Adapt app to offer your store in multiple languages, you might notice that Judge.me widgets don't update or display correctly in translated versions of your product pages. This usually happens when Judge.me metafields, which are used to store widget code and review data, get translated.

To keep your review widgets working smoothly across all languages, you can exclude these specific metafields from being translated.

To exclude Judge.me metafields in Shopify Translate & Adapt app:

  • From your Translate & Adapt admin, go to Products.

  • For each language in your store, find these metafields and remove their translations.

    • judgeme.badge

    • judgeme.widget

  • Click Save.

  • Click the Exit icon on the top left to go back to the main menu.

  • Scroll down to Store Metadata.

  • For each language in your store, find these metafields and remove their translations.

    • judgeme.settings

    • judgeme.html_miracle_0

    • judgeme.featured_carousel

    • judgeme.reviews_tab

    • judgeme.all_reviews_count

    • judgeme.all_reviews_rating

    • judgeme.shop_reviews_count

    • judgeme.shop_reviews_rating

    • judgeme.verified_badge

  • Click Save.

To make sure your widgets and reviews are still translated after excluding our metafields from Translated & Adapt, you can set up:
