Collect and showcase customer reviews where they matter most — right on your product pages. The Review Widget lets you display star ratings, review text, and powerful visuals like photos and videos to build trust, inspire buying confidence, and turn customer feedback into social proof that sells.
To customize your Review Widget, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
1. Hide the review date
To hide your review date:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
In the Theme section, disable Show review date.
Click Save.
2. Add a border to the Review Widget
Available on the Awesome plan.
To add a border around your Review Widget:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
In the Theme section, enable "Add a border around the widget".
Choose between these border styles:
Square corners
Round corners
Click Save.

From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets.
On the Review Widget card, click Customize.
In the Theme section, enable Add a border around the widget.
Choose your border style:
Square corners
Round corners
Click Save.
3. Customize the widget colors
To customize your widget colors:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
In the Colors section, adjust the color options as needed.
Click Save.

To customize your Review Widget colors:
Basic color customizations
Option | What it applies to |
Primary color | The color of the stars, buttons, and links across all widgets and emails |
Star color | The color of the stars in the Review Widget only |
Secondary color | The color of the reply backgrounds (which shows your reply to the customer's review), dividers, and other secondary elements across all widgets and emails |

Available on the Awesome plan.

4. Show recent photos and videos in a grid
The media grid is a horizontal section displayed within the Review Widget, showcasing customer-uploaded photos and videos.
To enable the media grid in your Review Widget:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widget > Review Widget > Customize.
In Photos and Videos, enable Show recent photos and videos in a grid.
Click Save.
5. Disable product medals
To disable all medals in the Review Widget (transparency badge, authenticity badge,...):
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll down to Judge.me Medals and disable Show product medals.
Click Save.

6. Enable the search bar
Available on the Awesome plan
To allow customers to search for reviews in the Review Widget:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll down to Search and pagination and enable Show review search bar.
Click Save.
Note: The search bar in the Review Widget only searches reviews for the product currently being viewed. It doesn't return results from reviews grouped across other products.
7. Allow customers to search by keywords
Available on the Awesome plan
To display a searchable list of top words in the reviews:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll down to Search and pagination and enable Enable keyword search.
Click Save.
This will show up to 10 review keywords. Keywords will be added to product pages for products with at least 10 verified reviews.

To show a searchable list of the most common words in your reviews:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets.
On the Review Widget card, click Customize.
Scroll to the Search and pagination section.
Check the box for Enable keyword search.
Click Save.
Once enabled, this will show up to 10 review keywords. Keywords will be added to product pages for products with at least 10 verified reviews.
8. Hide the rating filter
Available on the Awesome plan
To hide the section where customers can filter reviews by ratings (also known as the rating breakdown, the star distribution, or the rating summary bars):
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll down to the Search and pagination section and disable "Show the widget rating filter".
Click Save.

9. Set the default sorting method
Available on the Awesome plan.
To set your default sorting method:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll down to Search and pagination.
Under Default sorting method, choose your preferred option from the dropdown, then click Save.
Option | What it does |
Most Recent | Shows the newest reviews first |
Highest Rating | Shows reviews with the highest ratings first |
Lowest Rating | Shows reviews with the lowest ratings first |
Only Pictures | Shows only reviews that include at least 1 image |
Pictures First | Shows reviews with images first, followed by text-only reviews |
Videos First | Shows reviews with videos first |
Most Helpful | Shows reviews with the most thumbs-up (likes) from customers first |
This setting will also apply to the All Reviews Page and Floating Reviews Tab.

10. Change pagination type
Available on the Awesome plan
To adjust the pagination type and change how many reviews to display per page:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll down to Search and pagination.
Under Configure the pagination of reviews and questions, you can choose either:
Use "Load more" button to show more reviews
or Use pagination
You can also adjust the "Number of reviews per page" to your preference (default to 5).
Click Save.

To adjust the pagination type and change how many reviews to display per page:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets.
On the Review Widget card, click Customize.
Scroll to the Search and pagination section.
Under Configure the pagination of reviews and questions, choose one:
Pagination (default): splits reviews across numbered pages.
Load more button: adds more reviews below when clicked.
Set the Number of reviews per page (default is 5).
Click Save.
11. Choose how reviewer names are displayed
Available on the Awesome plan.
To customize how reviewer names appear:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll to the Review card details section.
Under Reviewer name format, choose one of the following options, then click Save.
Option | How names will appear |
Show full name | Reviewer name will appear as "John Smith" |
Shorten last name | Reviewer name will appear as "John S" |
First name only | Reviewer name will appear as "J. Smith" |
Initials | Reviewer name will appear as "J. S" |
Anonymous | Reviewer name will appear as "Anonymous" |

12. Remove the reviewer avatar
Available on the Awesome plan
To remove the profile icon in the reviews:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll to the Review card details section.
Disable "Show avatar icon"
Click Save.
13. Show or hide the location of the reviewers
Available on the Awesome plan
To showcase the country of your reviewers:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll to the Review card details section.
Enable Show reviewer location and/or Show reviewer country flag.
Click Save.
Note: Location is not available for reviews imported from AliExpress.

14. Add a "Read more" link in long reviews
Available on the Awesome plan
To limit the number of lines shown in each review:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll to the Review card details section.
Under Review length, select Limit the number of lines shown.
Click Save.

15. Allow customers to engage with the reviews
Available on the Awesome plan
Add upvote and downvote buttons
To let customers react to the reviews with a thumbs up or thumbs down:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll to the Review card details section.
Under Review engagement, enable "Show review upvotes / downvotes buttons".
Click Save.
Note: Once a customer gives a thumbs up or thumbs down on a review, their votes can't be changed.

To let customers share the reviews to their social media:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Review Widget > Customize.
Scroll to the Review card details section.
Under Review engagement, enable "Show social media share buttons".

LinkedIn
Click Save.

16. Hide the Review Widget when there's no review
To hide the Review Widget on products without reviews:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Manage Reviews > Moderation > Review restriction > Web reviews.
Choose either Only buyers who have received a review request email and API users or Only buyers who have received a review request email.
Click Save.
