Selecting the right tone of voice for your Judge.me emails

The tone of voice you employ in your emails can significantly impact your interactions with customers. Your choice of tone can vary from being direct to friendly, aligning with your company's brand strategy.

Judge.me offers a range of email templates, each designed with distinct tones of voice for you to select from, including friendly, direct, and elegant. Alternatively, you have the option to create a custom tone of voice for each email.

Please be aware that currently, emails with different tones of voice are only available in English.

1. Select the tone of voice for all emails

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Email templates.

  2. Next to the Email templates section, click Edit template styling.

  3. In the left sidebar, scroll down to the Language section.

  4. Under Email tone of voice, choose one of the following options:

    • Friendly

    • Elegant

    • Direct

    • Custom

Please note that any changes made to the emails will be lost if you apply a new tone of voice. If you wish to select different tones of voice for individual emails, please proceed to part 2.

2. Customize tones of voice for different emails

To choose the tone of voice for each email, follow these specific instructions for various email types:

Review request emails:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Email templates.

  2. In the Review request and reminders emails section, click Edit next to an existing template (custom styling).

  3. In the Email Settings tab, select your preferred Tone of voice from the drop-down menu.

  4. Click Save.

Reply to review email:

  • In your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Email templates.

  • Scroll down to the Reply notification section under Post-review notifications.

  • Click Edit

  • In the left-hand menu, scroll down to the Language section.

  • Under Tone of voice, choose your preferred tone from the dropdown.

  • Click Save.

Review confirmation email:

  • In your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Email templates.

  • Scroll down to the Review confirmation section under Post-review notifications.

  • Click Edit

  • In the left-hand menu, scroll down to the Language section.

  • Under Tone of voice, choose your preferred tone from the dropdown.

  • Click Save.

Coupon emails:

  • In your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Email templates.

  • Scroll down to the Discounts and rewards section.

  • Under Coupon discount email and Coupon reminder email, click Edit for the templates you want to update.

  • In the left-hand menu, scroll to the Language section.

  • Under Tone of voice, select your preferred tone from the dropdown menu.

  • Click Save.

Media reminder emails:

  • In your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Email templates.

  • Scroll down to the Media reminder section under Post-review notifications.

  • Click Edit

  • In the left-hand menu, scroll to the Language section.

  • Under Tone of voice, select your preferred tone from the dropdown menu.

  • Click Save.

Q&A notification emails:

  • In your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Email templates.

  • Scroll down to the Q&A notification section under Post-review notifications.

  • Click Edit

  • In the left-hand menu, scroll to the Language section.

  • Under Tone of voice, select your preferred tone from the dropdown menu.

  • Click Save.
