You can download your Trust Badge as a file and use it in your own marketing. This article explains where you can use it, what you can't change, and when to download a new copy. To download the file, see Trust Badge.
Use of your Trust Badge, including downloaded copies, is subject to the Trust Badge license in our Terms.
How it works
The downloaded file is a copy of your live Trust Badge on the day you download it. It shows your rating and review count at that time, and the month and year under the badge, for example "October 2026".
Your store keeps the live badge: The Trust Badge on your store always shows your current rating. A downloaded file never updates itself.
The file is for use outside your store: Use it in places your live badge can't go. See "Where you can use it" below.
You choose the look: Pick the colors, layout and format when you download. This changes the file only. Your storefront badge keeps its style settings.
It matches your live badge: The file shows CERTIFIED only if your live badge does. It has a transparent background, and the text is in English
Before you download
You can download your badge when both of these are true:
The Trust Badge is turned on and saved. An unsaved switch doesn't count. To turn it on, see Trust Badge.
You have at least 1 verified review.
If either is missing, the Download badge card is greyed out and tells you which one.
Download your badge
To download your badge:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets > Judge.me Trust Badge.
Scroll down to the Download badge card and click Download badge.
In the Download badge window, choose your Structure, Color and Star color. They start from your current style settings.
For Layout, select Wide or Narrow. Narrow fits small spaces like email signatures.
For Format, select one of the following options:
PNG for web – For emails, websites and social posts. 720 px wide.
PNG high resolution – For ads, slides and large print. 3000 px wide.
SVG – For printers and design tools. Scales to any size.
All formats (.zip) (Recommended) – All three files in one download.
Check the preview.
Click Download badge.
The file saves to your device and Badge downloaded appears. The window stays open, so you can download another version.
Note: The colors you pick in the window only apply to the file. Your storefront badge keeps its style settings. A Filled badge can't have the same Color and Star color, because the star would disappear. If they match, Download badge is disabled until you change one.
When to download a new copy
A file shows your rating as of the month you downloaded it. Download a new copy when your rating changes, so your marketing always shows your current rating.
You can't tell from a file whether it's out of date, so there's no fixed refresh period. The month line under the badge helps people see how recent it is.
If you lose CERTIFIED: New files won't say CERTIFIED. Files you downloaded earlier still do. Stop using those files.
If a warning says your certification is at risk: The file still says CERTIFIED for now. If your certification lapses, stop using files that say CERTIFIED. See Trust Certification.
Where you can use it
You can use your downloaded badge in:
Emails: For example, in an email footer or signature.
Ads and social posts: Paid ads and posts on your own accounts.
Slides and documents: Presentations, line sheets and other documents.
Print: Packaging, flyers and other printed material.
Don't use the downloaded file on your store. Your store must show the live Trust Badge, which always shows your current rating.
What you can't change
Use the file as you downloaded it. These count as editing the badge:
Cropping out the month line.
Changing the colors after you download it.
Changing the score or the review count.
Removing CERTIFIED.
Don't add CERTIFIED to a badge that didn't have it. The file shows CERTIFIED only if your live badge did on the day you downloaded it.
What can happen if the rules aren't followed
If a badge is used in a way that breaks the Trust Badge license, Judge.me can take action. This is at our discretion.
