Sending limits: how fast your emails go out, and how to ask for more

See how fast Judge.me Email sends your emails, why a limit applies, and how to ask for a higher one.

Available on the Free plan

Sending limits control how fast Judge.me Email sends your emails. They protect your delivery and your sender reputation. You can see your current limit in the app, and you can ask us for a higher one.

How sending limits work

Judge.me Email sends emails for your store at a steady pace, up to your sending limit. Campaigns and automated emails share this limit, so a large campaign is sent steadily until it's finished.

What the Sending limits card says

The Sending limits card shows how many emails we send for your store per day or per hour. It can also show the following messages:

  • Your largest campaign so far: Shows how many recipients your largest campaign reached and how long it takes to send at your limit. For example, "about 62 hours".

  • You have not sent a campaign yet. Shown when there's no campaign to compare.

  • This limit increases on its own: Shown for new stores. You don't need to request an increase for this to happen.

  • For now, we only send to contacts you have emailed before. Shown when sending to new contacts is paused for now. Your limit figure stays the same.

  • Sending is paused for your store. See "The Sending limits card says sending is paused" in the Troubleshoot section.

How the campaigns list shows a held-back campaign

A campaign that's sending while your store is at its limit shows the following in the Status column of the campaigns list:

  • The Sending badge, with the number of emails sent so far and the percentage done.

  • A line such as "Sending at up to 500 per day".

  • A See sending limits link that opens the Sending limits card.

Hover over the info icon to see why. It says the campaign is sending steadily to protect delivery. If your daily limit is the reason, it adds that the rest will continue over the next day.

Note: The percentage counts emails we've handed to our email provider. An email that later bounces still counts. An email we skip or fail to send doesn't. A campaign with no problems can therefore finish at around 98%.

Considerations

Sending limits have the following considerations:

  • Campaigns and automated emails share the same sending limit.

  • A large campaign is sent steadily until it's finished. It isn't dropped or cut short.

  • New stores start with a low sending limit. It increases on its own as your store builds a sending history.

  • You can't change your sending limit yourself. You can ask our support team to review a higher one.

  • The campaigns list doesn't refresh by itself. Reload the page to see the latest numbers.

View the sending limit for your store

To view the sending limit for your store:

  1. From your Judge.me Email app, go to Settings > Sending rules.

  2. Find the Sending limits card.

The card reads your limit fresh each time you open the page.

Request a higher sending limit

To request a higher sending limit for your store:

  1. From your Judge.me Email app, go to Settings > Sending rules.

  2. In the Sending limits card, click Request rate increase.

  3. Send the message in the support chat. It's already written for you and includes your current limit.

If the chat can't load, the button opens an email to support instead.

If the card says your limit increases on its own, we usually recommend waiting. Your limit will rise as your store builds a sending history.

Troubleshoot

The Sending limits card says sending is paused

If the Sending limits card says "Sending is paused for your store", or a campaign shows a red Paused badge, we've stopped sending for your store. A higher sending limit won't fix this.

To find out why and resume sending:

  1. From your Judge.me Email app, go to Settings > Sending rules.

  2. In the Sending limits card, click Request rate increase.

  3. Send the message in the support chat. It asks us to explain why your store is paused and help you resume.

My sending limit looks low

New stores start with a low sending limit to protect delivery. The Sending limits card says so, and the limit rises on its own over time. Request an increase only if you need to send more sooner.

My campaign is sending slowly

Check the Sending limits card for how long your largest campaign takes at your sending limit. Campaigns and automated emails share the limit, so automated emails sent at the same time can slow a campaign down. The campaign keeps sending until it's finished.
