Integrating with Clean Size Charts to turn reviews into sizing insights

Learn how to connect Judge.me with Clean Size Charts so your review text is analyzed for fit signals, surfacing sizing insights and fit notes on your product pages.

Available on the Free plan

Clean Size Charts helps Shopify merchants build size charts and size guides to reduce fit-related returns. By connecting Judge.me with Clean Size Charts, your review text is analyzed to extract fit signals, surface sizing insights, and display fit notes on your product pages.

How it works

When you connect Judge.me with Clean Size Charts, your published reviews are analyzed for fit-related content:

  1. You authorize Clean Size Charts through Judge.me OAuth with read-only access.

  2. Clean Size Charts imports your published Judge.me reviews in a one-time backfill, then polls for new reviews on a nightly schedule.

  3. Review text is scanned for fit signals such as "runs small" or "size up".

  4. Products with a consistent fit signal get a short shopper-facing fit note on the storefront, such as "Most reviewers say this runs small, consider sizing up".

  5. The Sizing Insights dashboard ranks products by fit disagreement and trending complaints, and highlights products with fit issues but no size chart.

Clean Size Charts only reads your published reviews. It never creates, edits, replies to, or deletes anything in Judge.me. No webhooks are used — reviews are polled on a nightly schedule.

Considerations

  • This integration requires the Sizing Insights and Fit Notes features on Clean Size Charts, which require a paid plan. Please check Clean Size Charts' Shopify App Store listing for details.

  • This integration is developed and maintained by the Clean Size Charts team. While we're happy to guide you where we can, the Clean Size Charts support team will be best equipped to assist you with any questions or issues.

How to set it up

Before you begin

Step 1: Connect Judge.me in Clean Size Charts

  1. Open the Clean Size Charts app in your Shopify admin.

  2. Click Integrations in the left navigation.

  3. Find the Judge.me card and click Connect.

  4. You are redirected to Judge.me's consent screen. Authorize the read_reviews and read_products scopes.

  5. You are returned to the app. The connection now shows as connected.

A backfill of your existing reviews starts immediately. For a store with a few hundred reviews, this typically finishes in a few minutes.

Step 2: View your sizing insights

  1. In the Clean Size Charts app, go to Analytics, then click Sizing Insights.

  2. You see a per-product table showing fit verdicts, the true-to-size / runs-small / runs-large split, supporting review quotes, and a coverage gaps section.

Step 3: Display fit notes on your storefront

  1. In the Clean Size Charts app, open the Fit Notes tab and choose how notes display.

  2. Open the Shopify theme editor and add the Fit Notes app block to your product page.

  3. Click Save.

Fit notes publish on a nightly cycle, so allow up to 24 hours after connecting before they appear. A product only receives a fit note once it has enough fit signals and a clear consensus on sizing direction.

Troubleshoot

No sizing insights appear after connecting

Issue:

The Sizing Insights page is empty after connecting Judge.me.

Why it happens:

The initial review backfill may still be in progress, or your reviews may not contain enough fit-related language for the system to extract signals.

How to fix:

Wait a few minutes for the backfill to complete. If the page remains empty, check that your products have published reviews that mention sizing or fit (e.g., "runs small", "true to size", "size up").

Fit notes are not showing on product pages

Issue:

Product pages do not show a fit note even after setup.

Why it happens:

Fit notes publish on a nightly schedule and require sufficient review signals with clear consensus. Products with too few fit signals or mixed opinions will not display a note.

How to fix:

Allow up to 24 hours after connecting for fit notes to appear. Verify that the Fit Notes app block is added in your theme editor and that the product has enough reviews mentioning fit.
