BYOB – Build Your Own Bundles allows merchants to create customizable bundle builder pages where customers can assemble their own product bundles. By integrating Judge.me Product Reviews with BYOB, merchants can display product review ratings and review widgets directly within the bundle builder experience. This helps customers make more informed purchase decisions while building their bundle, increasing trust and improving conversion rates.
How it works
The integration uses the standard Judge.me widgets within the BYOB bundle builder template. Once enabled, the Judge.me review widget can be added to the bundle builder page, Judge.me star ratings appear on each product card in the bundle selection, and review data is automatically pulled from Judge.me and displayed in BYOB.
This allows customers to see product ratings while building their bundle, helping them make more confident purchase decisions.
The integration works automatically as long as:
Both Judge.me and BYOB – Build Your Own Bundles are installed
Products already have reviews in Judge.me
The bundle is created using the Full Page layout
Supported widgets
Review widget (on bundle builder page)
Star ratings (on product cards within the bundle builder)

How to set it up
Before you start
Install the Judge.me Product Reviews app
Install the BYOB – Build Your Own Bundles app
Step 1: Create a bundle using the Full Page layout
Open the BYOB app and click Create a Bundle. In the layout selection pop-up, choose Full Page Layout. This integration only works with the Full Page layout, so make sure this option is selected before proceeding.
Step 2: Install BYOB app blocks in your theme
If you have not yet added BYOB to your theme, follow these steps:
Open BYOB → Settings
Click Change in theme editor
You will see a product template named byob
Click Add section → Apps
Search for BYOB
Add the following app blocks in this exact order: BYOB Bundle Info, BYOB Products Selection, BYOB Footer, BYOB Confirm Pop-up
Click Save
Step 3: Add the Judge.me review widget to the bundle builder page
Add the Judge.me review widget section to the bottom of the custom BYOB template. Once added, the review widget will appear on the bundle builder page and display the product reviews. For more information, refer to the Judge.me review widget installation guide.
Step 4: Enable review ratings on product cards
Go to your Shopify Admin and navigate to Online Store. Click Customize, then open the BYOB Product Selection section. Enable the option Show product review ratings. This will allow Judge.me star ratings to appear on each product card inside the bundle builder.
Step 5: Add the BYOB Reviews Widget block
In the theme editor, add the BYOB Reviews Widget app block. Place the block before the BYOB Product Selection app block. Click Save. After saving, the Judge.me review ratings will appear on each product card within the bundle builder.

Check the following:
Ensure the BYOB Reviews Widget block is placed before the BYOB Product Selection block in the theme editor.
Confirm that Judge.me widgets are installed correctly on your store.
Verify that the products already have existing reviews in Judge.me.
