Connecting Judge.me with Mailchimp to automate review emails

Learn how to connect Judge.me with Mailchimp to send review requests, trigger post-review emails, and use customer reviews in automated campaigns.

The Judge.me × Mailchimp integration lets you automate review requests and follow-up emails using your own Mailchimp flows and templates.

By syncing review and reviewer data from Judge.me to Mailchimp, you can trigger personalized email journeys based on real customer feedback, helping you collect more reviews, showcase social proof, and build long-term customer relationships.

This integration is ideal if you want full control over email design and timing while keeping reviews at the center of your marketing.


Considerations

  • The integration requires a Shopify store linked to both Judge.me and Mailchimp accounts.

  • After linking your MailChimp account to Judge.me, initial data sync may take up to a few minutes, depending on your data size.

  • Only customers who agree to receive marketing emails can trigger Mailchimp automations.

  • Review triggers rely on successful Judge.me x Mailchimp sync.

  • Email design and delivery are fully managed by Mailchimp, not Judge.me.

How it works

After connecting Judge.me and Mailchimp, Judge.me sends review-related events to Mailchimp. These events can be used as automation triggers inside Mailchimp. You can use the integration to:

  • Send review request emails using Mailchimp automations

  • Trigger thank-you or follow-up emails after a customer submits a review

  • Segment customers based on:

    • Review activity

    • Product reviewed

    • Star rating


Enable the Mailchimp integration

To connect Judge.me with Mailchimp:

  1. Log in to your Mailchimp account.

  2. Go to Integrations.

  3. Open the Judge.me integration page.

  4. Click Connect.

  5. Review your settings and click Continue.

  6. Enter your Shop domain name.

  7. Click Sign In and log in to your Shopify store if prompted.

  8. Review the permissions.

  9. Click Connect.

You’ll see a confirmation message that your sync is in progress.


Manage the Mailchimp integration

To manage your connected integration:

  1. In your Mailchimp account, click Integrations.

  2. Click Manage.

  3. Select the Judge.me.

On the integration page, you can:

  • View integration stats (number of reviews and reviewers)

  • See recommended next actions

  • Set up automations for review requests or follow-up emails for submitted reviews

  • Click Go to Judge.me to manage app settings

After syncing your data, you can:

Send review request emails via Mailchimp

Once you've setup your automation flow and email template in Mailchimp, you can start sending send review request emails via Mailchimp following the steps below:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Integrations > Mailchimp.

  2. Enable “Send trigger when it’s time to send a review request.”

  3. Click Save.

Once enabled, Mailchimp can use this trigger to send review request emails.


Disconnect Judge.me from Mailchimp

To disconnect the integration:

  1. In Mailchimp, click Integrations.

  2. Click Manage.

  3. Find Judge.me.

  4. Click the drop-down arrow.

  5. Choose Disconnect.

  6. Click Disconnect again to confirm.

  7. Click Continue when the confirmation message appears.

Judge.me will immediately stop syncing review data to Mailchimp.
