Judge.me offers two flexible ways to translate reviews shown in your store's Review Widget:
Automatic translation: Reviews are instantly translated based on your store's default language or the customer’s preferred browsing language.
Manual translation: Customers can translate individual reviews with one click.
Both methods help your store become more accessible and customer-friendly, especially for international audiences.
Enable automatic review translations
Steps to enable:
From the Judge.me admin dashboard, go to General Settings > Account.
Scroll to the Multi-language and translations section.
Under Widgets and translations, check Enable review translations > Translate reviews automatically.
Click Save.
Note: This feature only works for reviews displayed in the Review Widget.
How automatic translation works
For single-language stores
If your store is only available in one language, reviews written in other languages will automatically appear in your store's default language for all customers.
Example:
Your store’s language is English. A French customer writes a review in French. Visitors browsing in English will see the review automatically translated into English, with the option to view the original French text.
For multi-language stores
If your store supports multiple languages, reviews are translated based on each customer’s current browsing language.
Example:
Your store supports English and Spanish. A customer browsing in Spanish will see all reviews automatically translated into Spanish, even if the original was in English or another language. They can toggle to see the original version at any time.
Enable manual review translations
Steps to enable:
From the Judge.me admin dashboard, go to General Settings > Account.
Scroll to the Multi-language and translations section.
Under Widgets and translations, check Enable review translations > Let customers translate reviews manually.
Click Save.

How manual translation works
For single-language stores
If your store is only available in one language, the Translate review option allows your customers to translate reviews written in other languages into your store's default language.
Example:
Your store language is English. A French-speaking customer writes a review in French. English-speaking visitors will see a Translate review to English option and can instantly view the review in English with just one click.
For multi-language stores
If your store supports multiple languages, the Translate review option dynamically adjusts to each customer’s browsing language.
Example:
Your store supports English and Spanish. A customer browsing in Spanish will see a Traducir reseña a español (Translate review to Spanish) option under any review written in a different language. Clicking it will translate the content into Spanish.
