Judge.me offers two plans to fit different store needs:
Free plan:
Our Free plan includes all the essential features you need to collect and display product reviews, including unlimited review requests, the Review Widget, Star Rating Badge, and basic customizations. It’s a great starting point for new stores or those who want a simple, reliable review setup.
Awesome plan ($15/month):
The Awesome plan includes everything in the Free plan, plus advanced features designed to help you build trust faster and increase conversions.
You can start with the Free plan and upgrade anytime as your store grows.

Downgrade to the Free plan
When you downgrade from the Awesome plan to the Free plan, the change applies immediately and you’ll no longer have access to all Awesome features, regardless of how much time is left in your billing period.
To get the most value from your subscription, we recommend downgrading at the end of your billing cycle.
To downgrade to the Free plan:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Plan.
Click End the subscription at the top left.
Click Downgrade to Free plan.
Once downgraded, you’ll receive a confirmation email from pj@judge.me with the subject: "Your Judge.me plan has been updated."
Our refund policy
Judge.me doesn’t generally issue refunds for app charges. However, we know billing mistakes can happen, and we make limited exceptions in certain cases.
Eligible cases
You may be eligible for a 1-month refund of the Awesome plan ($15) if one of the following applies:
You upgraded to the Awesome plan and downgraded or uninstalled within 2 days.
Your 15-day free trial ended, and the Awesome plan started automatically. You downgraded or uninstalled within 2 days after the trial ended.
You downgraded or uninstalled within 2 days after the new app billing cycle started.
Non-refundable cases
Refunds are not available for:
Repeat refund requests — refunds are available only once per store. If you upgrade again after receiving a refund, that new charge won’t be eligible for another refund.
Old charges — we can’t issue refunds for charges that are older than 12 months.
Dormant (Pause and Build) stores
If your store is on the Pause and Build (dormant) plan:
Your store remains active but checkout is disabled.
App billing cycles continue if you're on the Awesome plan.
App charges made while your store was on the Awesome plan during the dormant period are valid and not refundable.
To stop future billing, you can downgrade to the Free plan. You can upgrade again anytime when your store reopens — all your reviews will stay safe.
In exceptional cases where the store has been dormant for 3 months or longer, we may review the situation and offer a partial refund (up to 3 months) at our discretion.
Frozen stores
Stores might be frozen if you miss paying the Shopify subscription bill or if a payment fails multiple times.
When a store is frozen, the app billing will also be paused.
Once the store is reopened, you’ll need to pay any outstanding Shopify bills and app charges. A new app billing cycle will then begin from the store reopening date, and future charges will continue as usual unless you downgrade to the Free plan.
While we can’t refund any outstanding app charges from before your store was frozen, you may be eligible for a 1-month refund of the new Awesome plan charge ($15) created after the store is reopened — if you downgrade within 2 days.
How we process the refund
Refund requests must be reviewed and approved by the Judge.me team.
Once your refund request is approved, it will be processed through Shopify’s billing system as app credits.
We can only issue refunds in the form of Shopify app credits.
We can't refund the app charge to the original payment method.
Once we issue you the app credits, Shopify will send you the following email:
Email address: mailer@shopify.com
Subject: "Shopify app credit received from Judge.me Reviews"
Email content:
You can also find your app credits in your Shopify admin:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings on the bottom left.
Go to Billings.
In your billing section, Shopify shows a blue information box saying "You have $15.00 in discounts. They'll be applied to relevant charges on your next bill.".
Here's how Shopify app credits work:
If you haven’t paid for the app charge of the Awesome plan yet, the app credit will automatically cover that charge.
If you've already paid for the app charge of the Awesome plan, the app credits will apply to future app charges (any apps) in your store.

Unfortunately, our free trials are only available once per store. If you've already used it, you won't be able to start another trial.

Currently, we don’t have a yearly plan. Judge.me is available as a monthly subscription at $15/month only.

Do you have any discount for the Awesome plan?
We don’t offer discounts at the moment, but the Awesome plan is designed to be affordable at just $15/month. You can try all the Awesome features for free with our 15-day trial. It’s a great way to explore everything the plan offers before deciding to subscribe.
Why am I being charged twice?
Why am I being charged twice?
If you see 2 charges from Judge.me on the same Shopify invoice, don't worry—they're not duplicate charges. This happens when the Shopify invoice date aligns exactly with the start of a new Judge.me billing cycle.
In this case, you may see two separate charges:
One charge for the previous 30-day billing cycle (which wasn't included in last month's invoice), and
Another charge for the new upcoming 30-day billing cycle.
For example:
A charge dated July 6 covers the cycle from June 6 – July 6.
A second charge, also dated July 6, covers the next cycle from July 6 – August 5.
Both charges are correct and account for different billing periods. They’re just grouped into a single Shopify invoice because your app billing renewal happened on the same day the invoice was issued.
Downgrading
What happens when I uninstall Judge.me?
What happens when I uninstall Judge.me?
Uninstalling Judge.me will immediately cancel your Awesome plan, including any active free trial—regardless of how much time is left in your billing period.
If your app billing cycle had already started before you uninstalled, you may still see a charge on your Shopify invoice for that period.
Reinstalling the app will not reactivate your trial or resume your previous plan. You'll need to choose either the Free or Awesome plan again after reinstalling.
What happens when I upgrade again after downgrading or uninstalling?
What happens when I upgrade again after downgrading or uninstalling?
If you downgrade or uninstall during your app billing cycle, your Awesome plan switches to the Free plan immediately.
If you upgrade again (or reinstall and upgrade) within the same app billing cycle:
You’ll need to go through the normal upgrade process and approve the new charge in Shopify.
A new charge ID will be created but you won’t be charged again for that cycle — your original billing cycle continues under the new charge ID.
If you upgrade after your original billing cycle has ended, a new billing cycle starts and you’ll be charged for the new period.
For example:
You upgrade to the Awesome Plan on September 5th. Your billing cycle runs until October 5th.
On September 12th, you uninstall Judge.me. Your account switches to the Free plan immediately.
Case 1: Upgrade within the same billing cycle
On September 15th, you reinstall and upgrade again to the Awesome Plan.
When you approve the upgrade in Shopify, a new charge ID is created, but you won’t be charged this time.
Your original billing cycle continues, and your next payment is still due on October 5th.
Case 2: Upgrade after the billing cycle has ended
If you reinstall and upgrade on October 10th, the previous billing cycle has already ended.
Approving the upgrade in Shopify starts a new billing cycle on October 10th, and you’ll be charged immediately for the new period.

If you're using Judge.me in Shopify mobile app, the Upgrade to Awesome button might be unresponsive due to limitations in the embedded browser. We're still investigating the root cause. In the mean time, we recommend completing the upgrade from a desktop browser instead.
