Judge.me gives you full control over how your name appears when writing or editing a review. Whether you want to show your full name, use initials, or stay anonymous, the platform is designed to support your privacy choices while complying with GDPR and other regulations.
Name display options in Judge.me reviews
You can choose how your name appears when submitting reviews on the store product pages and on the Judge.me Reviews Site.
Here are the five display formats:
Full name: First name + last name (e.g., John Smith)
Partial name: First name + last name initial (e.g., John S.)
First name only: First name (e.g., John)
Initials only: First name initial + last name initial (e.g., J.S.)
Anonymous: Your name will not be displayed
Note: If you select Initials only or Anonymous, your review will be marked as posted in Private mode. This helps protect your identity and aligns with GDPR principles.
Note: Special rule for Chinese names
If you choose full name, it will be shown as entered.
If you choose initials or anonymous, the name will appear as 匿名 (Anonymous) for consistency and privacy.
How to select your name display format when submitting a new review
When you write a review using the Review Widget, you’ll see a "displayed publicly as" dropdown next to the Name field. Use this dropdown to choose how your name will appear publicly.
