Adding discounts to popups, campaigns, and flows

How discount codes work in Judge.me Email: shared codes, unique auto-generated codes, and combinations.

Available on the Free plan

Discounts help convert subscribers into buyers. In Judge.me Email you can add a discount in a few places, and they all work the same way underneath.

Where discounts appear

  • Sign-up popup — offer a discount to new subscribers (on the popup's Rules tab).

  • Flow emails — the Welcome, Abandoned checkout, and Winback flows include a discount by default.

  • Campaigns — add a Discount block to a campaign email in the editor.

Two ways to generate codes

  • Use one shared code — everyone gets the same existing Shopify discount code. Simple, and easy to promote.

  • Auto-generate a unique code per subscriber — each person gets their own code. Add a Code prefix so you can recognise them, and you can tag the customer with the discount.

For auto-generated codes you set the Discount type (Percentage off or Fixed amount off), the Discount value, and when the Code expires (after a set number of days, or never).

Discount continuity between the popup and Welcome flow

If your sign-up popup offers a discount, that same discount is used in the Welcome flow's first email automatically. The popup is the source of truth — set the discount on the popup, and it flows through to the welcome email.

Combining with other Shopify discounts

Whether a Judge.me Email discount can be used at the same time as another discount depends on the combination settings on the discount in your Shopify admin. If you want discounts to stack, enable the relevant combinations on the Shopify discount.
